I went into North American title loan and put in an application and successfully obtained a title loan. During the application process I was told that I could receive a $100 referral bonus if I referred somebody that established a title loan with their company for $500 or more. Their phone messages and website all say that all you need to do is refer a friend or somebody that's in need of a loan and as long as they are successful in completing the loan application for $500 or more that reference of $100 will be given to the person that referred the business. I did exactly as I was instructed by Dasey and per the website and phone message and was denied the referral bonus of $100.00. I was told that there were extra steps that the person I referred needed to take an order to get my referral bonus of $100, none of these extra steps are printed anywhere on their website nor recorded on their phone messaging, and their employee Daisy never disclosed either. I argue that it should be clear and concise instructions on their website and or phone advertisement that spell out what both the person referring the business needs to do and the person that has been referred. It is misleading and in my opinion deceptive and false advertising when there are not complete steps or instructions given to both parties, and they should honor the $100 referral bonus for the successful business referral I gave to them. I did exactly what I was told to do and was not told that there was anything else needed from me in order to do get the referral bonus of $100. When speaking with employees and management from the store I was unprofessionally argued with talk down to and told they would not honor the referral bonus of $100 because the employee that filled out the application didn't fill it out completely. That is an employee error or oversight and should not be responsibility of the person referring the business to make sure has been completed.
