On 6/19/2024 provided a background check on me to TASO -Hatch file #******* where derogatory information was reported indicating I had an arrest that was active. My complaint is this complaint accessed old information from a source that was not updated. The false charges against me were not only dismissed 9/14/2023 but expunged on Jan 12,2024 . This shows a proper background check wasn’t performed and caused me to be denied employment by TASO and public embarrassment which I am weighing options for legal remedies if this is not researched and corrected. This report has damaged my reputation on something I fought so hard to correct in court.Business response

Unfortunately this applicant did not follow the standard procedure for disputing information on a consumer report. FCRA clearly defines the procedure and this applicant was sent this information when the report was complete when he recieved his pre-adverse letter from the client who ordered the background report. We still are trying to commun8cate with this applicant, so we can resolve his concerns and update his file if needed.Customer response
