I filed a service request for a faulty kitchen faucet (leaking under sink) with American Home Shield home warranty company. Allstate Plumbing Inc, came to our home this morning 10/12/2022, approx 10 am. I was not at home, but my wife called me to come back to the house. I met the technician and tried to communicate with him and he just walked right by me and did not answer my requests or questions? He had told my wife earlier that the reason the faucet was faulty was due to high water pressure(140 Psi!?) Which would make me responsible for the faucet. I asserted that we did not have high water pressure, the valve seals, etc were bad if we had 140 Psi we would have lots of leaks. I bought a pressure gauge and checked my home water pressure at 68-70 Psi. I called the City of Layton water company and they came out and verified the 68-70 Psi at my home., And was normal pressure. The City employees also checked thier water pressure at a nearby fire hydrant at 76 Psi. I checked 3 homes in my neighborhood at the same Psi of 68-70 Psi. He also told my wife our water pressure could peel a potato! Nonsense. I asked American Home Shield to not send that technician to my home again. That said, they would send a G&S plumbing company next but that if the first assessment of 140 lbs. water pressure was verified that I would be charged another deductible amount?! I have photos of all the tested water pressures. And a pic of the Layton City employees verifying the normal water pressure in my home neighborhood. I need honest evaluation and my kitchen faucet replaced!
