    We checked into the motel at 3:55pm. The lobby was a mess. Exposed electrical wires were hanging from the ceiling. Boxes and construction debris was all over. Behind the counter was filthy,a calender and other paperwork all over the floor. We paid and got our room information along with our keys. My daughter had to return to the lobby to ask for pillows, which we had to get from a box in the lobby ourselves. We then had to ask for pillowcases. Then my son had to return to the lobby because he had no cable on the back of the TV so that it could work. He also had no light bulbs in any light in the room and the plumbing in the bathroom made a horrible screaming noise that scared my grandchildren. They were offered a new room but it again was dirty and the bathroom window did not even lock. In my daughter families room there was wood pieces on the floor and one of the beds were broken and did not sit level. I my son in laws parents room the headboard had childrens stickers all over it. They had black mold in the bathroom and when the bed was turned down there was a spider in it. My room the bathroom door did not lock and there was mold in the bathroom. The toilet also rocked. We all decided to go to dinner and returned over an hour later. We as a group decided to take our chances in the snowstorm and drive home. We requested refunds and all were told yes. We have receipts for the credits. On the drive home I was contacted by the "manager" who said we must pay because the beds were not made and we used the garbage. We all were checking the stained gross sheets on our beds. How can this place not be shut down or condemned? The owner or manager has recharged out cards without our permission. He wants us to pay for the use of rooms that were not as pictured or described. He agreed to the refund without looking at the rooms which is not our fault. He should be held accountable. I just want the refunds of all charges and his establishment to be held to a standard for occupancy.
