My kids bought me a Camp Chef smoker for my birthday. When we put it together we noticed that the thermometer was broken. Camp Chef refused to replace it.Review from Keely M

I contacted customer service due to my own user error, and it was the best service I have received. They were very fast to respond to my issue, after I explained my situation they had a fix for me. I could feel the kindness through the email. I couldnt thank them enough for their time and effort to make it smooth on my end. Wonderful customer service!!!Review from Steve C

I have a Camp Chef Yukon two burner outdoor camping stove where the paint is peeling on both of them. I have had it approximately 1 year and 11 months. I keep it covered with a quality cover from classic accessories where it stays dry all year round. The folding side shelves have a problem with the paint peeling off of both of them. I called Camp Chef customer service today and they told me that it is out of warranty. The warranty on that item is only one year and the replacement cost is $69 for the left shelf and $79 for the right shelf has the right and left shelves are two different sizes. They would not take any consideration on trying to warranty it or work with me on this. The customer service person I spoke to was very courteous and I asked for a manager to speak with. She in turn texted message her supervisor and she stated the same thing back to her, except that she would cover the shipping. The customer service person reiterated that the replacement cost is $69 for the left shelf and $79 for the right shelf. You do however get two of them for that price, but why do you need two. The cost of the stove was ****** and when you buy both replacement side shelves, you are paying $24 more than what the entire stove cost. The main point of this negative feedback is that they have a quality issue and aren't willing to do anything about it and not accept the fact of it and therefore making you purchase new shelving units or preferably a new stove due to the cost of the shelves. I will never buy another Camp Chef stove from them and I am extremely dissatisfied with the results that I've obtained as of today. I am reporting this to be able to help someone else think about purchasing one of these.Review from Robert L

Ordered a replacement grate for a camp chef product which turned out to be for an older model, which was not clear on the website. The item was *****, plus tax and $17 for shipping. It didn't fit, so I initiated a return and was told I would need to pay shipping to return the item. The camp chef website says if returned within 30 days you will receive a full refund, but you have to pay return shipping. No surprise there. I paid $30 to ship it back with tracking as the rep asked me to send tracking to expedite my refund. Once received, I was told I would only be receiving ***** back. I balked, asking about the $17 shipping and tax. I was told by a rep they would not be refunding tax or shipping. I explained it is illegal to refuse to refund sales tax, and they responded saying they would add the tax to my refund. I further inquired about refunding the original shipping fee and was told they would not as they had paid to ship the item, even though I was charged $17 for shipping. I told them this was in direct conflict with their policy as stated on their website, and they responded with a screenshot of what appeared to be a word document of a paragraph they stated was their return policy. However, this was clearly different from the policy on their website regarding returns. Horrible customer service. I will be consulting an attorney to see if they are even registered to collect and remit sales tax in the state I live in. The fact I had to inform them it is illegal to not refund sales tax makes me wonder what other shady practices they are doing to others. Not to mention they have a product for sale on their website that is outdated and misleading. Stay far far away from this company.Review from Robert A

If I could give zero star I would. Searched for product and clicked on link from Camp Chef. Did not notice that Camp Chef's link brought me to a different model. I ordered and received immediate confirmation and realized was wrong model. The model I want is not in stock so a way to trick you into buying what they do have in stock. Immediately called and have been on hold for over two hours to cancel. Also sent message through web page (supposed to have live chat which of course they don't). This is a gift, recipient will receive product they do not want, and to return has to be pay shipping and restocking fees.I am now out $200 because debit card I used expires in two days. I wished I had read other reviews of terrible customer service before I ordered. You would think ordering directly from company instead of third party website would be best but so wrong. Should have gone with ***. Please, never order directly from this company!!!Review from joe m

where do I start ,first of all I purchased at the overland expo event in ********* , I wanted the oven but the salesman told me he was sold out , we asked if we could buy the demo model which was dirty plus the salesman took the regulator due to a guy coming to him claiming his had no regulator .so I had no regulator , he told me that alls i need to do was call customer service and they will be happy to get me one . Ok I played the game ,, after 2 weeks of trying to get ahold of someone, I emailed,I called, and waited on hold for 45 min , still nothing .No response to my replacement only a email that states my email was forwarded to a agent to look over .. the item was used ,so its a little dirty from them cooking on it but for me to pay a price discounted because it was dirty and used j,I feel Ive been Had. Because I can't get a replacement , I could order one and pay but not sure I would get that one either .. Terrible Terrible customer service , No one emails back , ofr calls back after a request for a call in the ******* I'm thinking this oven and table I bought from the vender needs to get returned for a refund , ************ *****... And I'll tell everyone I know and follow on ******** .......Please help get this rectified . I have my receipts to prove I actually bought items .....I just want either the flipping part to make it work or my money back !!!!!Review from Kathy N

I can't believe that anyone is purchasing a product from Camp Chef. This is a terrible company. I purchased the pellet grill and smoker Model number PG24CL-2 approximately two years ago and only used it twice. I am having a large Memorial Day party and went to check the grill to make sure it was in working condition. Guess what!!! The auger send pellets to cup but there is no flame. I have been calling, texting, emailing and no one answers the telephone and returns phone calls. I have sent multiple emails and no replies. I spent a lot of money for this smoker and can't afford to purchase another one. Please, do not purchase anything from Camp Chef.Review from William R

Purchased a Camp Chef SmokePro DLX PG 24 pellet grill in May 2022. Came boxed, in good shape. No grease tray. Can not do a burn in, can not use it. Contacted company. Several emails back and forth, Camp Chef finally emailed me that they will most likely not be able to ship me a grease tray till early August. August 12 I will be eighty five. This company has terrible customer service. I purchased a smoker in 2018 and it rusted by 2021. I ordered parts from Camp Chef to replace the visibly ***** parts. They shipped them loose in one box with no packing material; the parts scratched, dinged, and gouged each other. I understand things don't always go perfect, but I expect them to be fixed when they do. I reported the issue and asked for a replacement. They mailed the replacement parts to the address where I ordered the grill in 2018, not where I shipped the replacement parts (I had moved). I again ask for a replacement, and they ship it again with no packing material. The item arrived damaged again in the third shipment due to inadequate packaging. Inadequate is an overstatement; there was NO appropriate packing material in the box.Once is an accident and I can excuse that. I can excuse the 2nd accident. The third time is just demonstrating incompetence; stay clear of this company if you expect basic customer service. This entire process took about 6 weeks since they use the slowest economy shipping options even when I asked them to expedite the third shipping due to their errors.On a side note, the smoker works great. Don't buy one expecting a modicum of customer service aptitude.
