  To Whom It May Concern: I would like to file a formal complaint against Amoni N*****. This is regarding concrete work paid for in advance. I have tried for several months to contact Amoni via text and phone calls to schedule a time to have the work done. In August 2022 my next door neighbors were having concrete work done through Tui Landscaping and Concrete: **** * **** * West Valley City ###-###-####. I asked for a bid and if they were interested in doing mine as well. A man named Tui came over to look at the job. Tui recommended his nephew Max and said he might be interested in the job. Later, Amoni N***** came over and spoke with me about the work I needed done. Amoni agreed to do the job; he then sprayed a few lines and took basic measurements. Amoni gave me his card with the price estimate on it. The card was under Prime Time Concreate. The Estimate was $6,160. *See Attachment Amoni was very cordial and handled himself well. He said he would need $4,000 down payment to get my work scheduled on his calendar. I gave him two separate checks that day from two different accounts. One was for $3,000 and the other for $1,000. Both checks were cashed and cleared the banks. I felt that he was sincere and they had done good work for my neighbors.* See attachments My son-in-law and daughter live with me, and were part of the conversation. Amoni told us he was from Tonga, but raised in Texas. He told us he served an LDS mission. My little granddaughters were excited because he said they could call him Maui from the Moana movie. He talked about dressing up as Maui for his 2yr old daughter for Halloween. He said he was going to take a trip to Australia; he stayed and chatted for a long time. I told him that as long as the concrete was done before winter we would be good. He assured me that when I did business with him we would be considered family. Losing this amount of money is very difficult for me. I am a widow and have limited funds. I have attached his business card with quote, text messages, and the checks written to Amoni.
