A completely disheveled Lumio representative knocked on my door and asked for me by nameinformation I have never given to Lumio. After sensing my immediate distaste for his having my personal information and for soliciting in a neighborhood with No Solicitation signs, he asked if I'd agree to receive a "free" report so that he could "get compensated for the appointment." When I said that I flatly wasn't interested, he ambled off clearly annoyed.As if that wasn't bad enough, he proceeded to solicit every house in our neighborhood before circling back two days later the very houses that had told him no the first time.When I saw him standing on my porch again, I told him in no uncertain terms to leave and not come back, but frankly, I have little confidence he'll respect that request and absolutely no confidence that Lumio will respect that request.They've clearly bought our personal information and trained their salespeople to not only not accept no for an answer, but to incite empathy and get unwitting homeowners to give away even more of their information for a "free" report that undoubtedly promotes their own products or services.The next time I see a Lumio logo headed for my door, the cops will be called and complaints with the BBB, FTC, and CFPB will be filed.Lumio Response

Ever since we got this installed, we have had problem after problem. Any time we have a big storm or someone hits a power pole within a mile or so of our house, we have to get at least one micro inverter replaced. Trying to reach customer service is a joke with a number that goes straight to V. Mail with no msg or name to verify that you are leaving a message at the correct number. 1 month and 3 weeks we've been trying to get the most recent problem fixed. They sent the part in about a week and a half. So we've been trying for 1month 1.5 weeks to contact customer service and get ANY RESPONSE. No luck I will happily change my review if the customer service department would do their part.Lumio Response

I had a fantastic experience with Lumio! From the initial consultation to the final installation, the team was professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. Lumio helped us go solar three years ago and I wouldnt change a thing about our experience or the decision on going solar with Lumio in the first place! They set the right expectations and educated me first so we had a full understanding and were comfortable starting the process and now my bill is only 173 bucks a month when before my average was 350 dollars! Since I had no opportunity on your site to respond to your response attempting to discredit my negative review of your company, Im responding here. Looking at all the negative reviews on your site, you respond with how very sorry you are they are having problems and will remedy the situation or, you try to discredit them and their complaint by denying them. How many of those people actually got their matter resolved? ****** C on this site spells out my experience almost exactly. I doubt 2 people several states apart would concoct the same experience of your gross misrepresentation of your product and the costs. Of the first 23 reviews on your site, 8 were happy. 15 were scathing, negative reviews that many said would give 0 stars. Something is wrong here. I sought legal counsel from a consumer protection attorney that focuses mainly on solar panel fraud. After review of my case, its on me to continue paying some months 2 to 3 times more than before the panels were installed until loan maturity in 2049. Its my signature on the contract. Im a 69 yo retired nurse that lives on social security. I called you predatory because I feel you targeted the older people in my neighborhood, people that making this investment could create a hardship instead of a saving, green investment. I hope the Better Business Bureau looks at this review since youre currently licensed.B *******Lumio Response

to bad a 1 star is as low as you can go. very non accommodating customer service, do not go over all specifics when getting into contract, specifically having to get a new roof they want an absorbent amount of money (1/3 the total cost of the whole system to just take off and put them back on). they do not have a very informative website for these things and the lack of professional customer service doesn't help. we had signed with AKE which apparently sold out to Lumio and now we have to deal with them. had we known about all these issues before hand we would have never gotten with them and dealt with it or when with another more professional company.Lumio Response

Been with Lumio the last two years. Great customer support, very knowledgeable & experienced workers. Couldnt ask for better sales support, and proper expectations on project timelines. Couldnt ask for a better company to work with in residential solar needs.Lumio Response

Stay away from Lumio Solar. Poor management. Had defect found in Emphase Box. Was told that I would receive reimbursement. Of ******* This was 1/11/24. Was told it would take 3-6 months to receive. I have called after the three months and then after six months only to be told reimbursement still pending. I called 8/7 to be told I was denied. Still no supervisor to speak to . Have called numerous times to speak to Supervisor (************************ ). She has never called back. Just called again, told the same thing she is on the phone but this customer service representative (****) stating my file states pending. Getting the run aroundLumio Response

Lumio has the worst customer service!!!! First this company stated my solars were live and had not been for a month!! I just bought a brand new home, and it had not even reached a year and upon inspection a leak was noted on the roof where the solar panals are, along with 10 cracked tile and some missing (so they filled them with a totally different color than my original tile). Of they denied they were the cause of the leak. With a lot of calls and complaints someone by the name of **** came out, took pictures of where he thought the leak was coming from, did not perform a water test, and left!!! He did not ebven communicate his findings with me. I called to get the information. Which customer service rep ****** it wasn't there fault, but as a courtesy they fixed it, but refused to fix the dry wall damage!!! Its been a little over a year and my bill is always over 2 to 300 a month plus the monthly payment of 186. I have spoke to numerous agents and a manger. Do you think they care? No. I am currently waiting to hear from manager supposedly higher than the first manager I spoke with. I wanted to report this and try to warn anybody that is looking into getting solar panels!! My panels were placed on the wrong side of the house!!!! When I asked for corporates email I was given the wrong one. They truly do not care and is in it for the money. My family is truly hurting with electric bill as high as ****** with Lumio solar panels.Lumio Response

If I could give a lower score I would. I was told by the solar rep **** that if I signed up (11/2022) for installation with Lumio (which I didsilly me) I would have panels in by the end of of the year. Now we are in 2024 I have no panels, a sub panel that was installed incorrectly, a project manager who wont answer my calls or texts, a bill from a finance company for panels that were never installed and everything time I call ** told the project manager has to look into it. It got to a point where I had to go to the website request solar panels to installed as if I was a new Customer to have someone return my call. Now its more of the same. Im still making payments to finance company who has already paid Lumio and another project manager who doesnt want to return my calls and has started to forward my calls like Im the nuisance. I want and full refund and the BBB to investigate Lumios deceptive practices. Im also thinking of reaching out to the Investigative reporter ****************** of ******* Area to expose Lumio.Lumio Response
