I found Rise Online marketing on Shopify as an expert partner that provides marketing services for my small business in August 2023. I had a Google call with Benjamin N*******, the owner and marketing "expert" and I decided to hire his company for my marketing efforts of running Google ads (his recommendation). I was invoiced $1,650 8/21/2023 to get started which would include creating campaigns since I had already had a current Google ad account established and all of my metrics ready to go. As the month proceeded Benjamin asked me to add content to a Google Drive which i did, and then he told me that once my new website launches ( a website that I was currently having renewed, but my old site was still very much up & running during this process) that better success of web traffic and sales should begin to flow. The first month had ZERO results of any kind nor were there any campaigns done whatsoever and i realized that he hadn't logged into my accounts but once that entire month. The following month, Benjamin sent me a convenient and lovely update stating all these things he had accomplished and his excitement for progress in sales & traffic for the upcoming month and he simultaneously sent me an invoice for September for $1,500. After he accepted that payment he conveniently got "covid". He suddenly reappears 3 days later stating that he launched all these ads and video ads and so I asked to see those, in which he went radio silent. I then found these ads and campaigns and I was horrified and immediately knew I am dealing with a scam artist. The videos are so distorted and blurred with no sound no text and he's spending HUNDREDS of my dollars running such a horrible piece of content. I immediately contacted him expressing my frustrations on 9/29/2023 and asked for a full refund never to hear from this company or Benjamin N******* again! I contacted my attorney and we contacted Shopify in which they said they were told he would contact me. WOW!
