I was quoted $9800 to move my house out of west bountiful Utah to Georgia. The estimators said that it would all fit in one truck despite me telling him several times that it has never fit in one truck before. He said that they have bigger trucks and it will all fit. About a month before we were ready to have our stuff sent to Georgia I got a text from the owner of the company stating that my new quote is now $22,000 because our stuff will not fit in one truck. I had them bring out one trucks worth of stuff not at $9800 but $12,000. My husband and I went back to Utah and retrieved the rest of our belongings. Gentle Touch Movers handled our move from Salt Lake City, Utah to Seattle, Washington. Items were picked up on Oct. 21 and delivered on Oct. 25. One of our large pieces of furniture was damaged while in their possession so we were instructed to email them with photos and a detailed description of the item. We did this immediately and have tried to both call and email several times with no answer or response. We wanted to file a claim with the insurance policy that was included in our contract in order to get back some money for the damages caused by them.Initial Complaint

The old owners of our $460,000 home hired Gentle Movers to move them. They scratched our brand new wood floor. The scratch is the length of our house. At least 30' long and in some places is 1" wide. We have contacted them multiple times to resolve the issue but they will no longer answer our phone calls. We have sent them these pics multiple times and still no response.
