In November of 2018, I was going to the Dental school for cleanings and such as I did not have dental insurance. A tooth prepared for crowning still felt sensitive, so they said only other option: root canal. I wish I would have chose the crown, because crowns can cover teeth and help sensitivity. Got a root canal by L**********. Still felt sensitive. He said he should go back in. Joked that some surgeons have to redo hips. Well, in numbing me, he was fishing the needle around so much, he hit a nerve and sent me jolting up from my chair, lightening bolt to my eye, and tears instantly running down my face. He said that sometimes happens. Three dentists I've talked to said you don't need to do that. The numbing agent will spread if you give it time. Now I had two problems: tooth and cheek. I called and asked for someone different. Dr. B****** was gentle after I begged him to please not hit my nerve. When asked if that had happened to him, his reply was no. After I still had pain, he prescribed a steroid, and then an antibiotic, both of which did not help. I didn't visit a dentist for three whole years! The pain did not subside. When we moved to Arizona, I had my tooth pulled. Pain/Numbness still there. After three years I had to go back to the dentist, so I started researching. After dental visits, an MRI and neurologist visits, I found out I've got a trigeminal neurology thing going on. You as doctors should have known this as a possibility. My issue is that I was not told my condition is a result of what happened at Dr. L**********'s hands. Or even could be. Instead I was given steroids and antibiotics, two things that can be harmful, esp. when not needed. I will have this for life! Do you know what you've done? To my whole family? I forked out a lot of money for you, when I could have had my tooth pulled for cheap. Was this done on purpose? Why? I was so nice to you/your staff. I don't understand why you did this. I am heartbroken/devastated.
