We had moisture in our attic and called Ashco Roofing. They said the only possibility for moisture was a leaky roof. The roof was old, so we had them replace it. We paid $10,000. The next fall we still had moisture so we called them back. They said "there are many reasons there could be moisture in the attic" and refused to help us. Apparently, we paid for a new **** we didn't need. Stay away from this company. They are unethical and have lousy service once you pay them.

Do *************** house a favour and DO NOT select this company for your roof. They will write up a pretty little bid and then when you go onto your roof you will find that what is up there is not what was on the bid. When you bring it to their attention they will say they do a good job and the owner, ****, will fight you every step of the way saying you don't know anything about roofing, you're crazy and he doesn't care about you're $9200 bec he does $5 million dollars worth of roofs per year. He will talk down to you and be derogatory. He will not say he's sorry. He won't listen to you, or other ********************. He will not fix it, or evem acknowledge there is anything wrong with it. He doesn't pull a permit when it's required. (I called the ************** none). And he does not know the code for a 2:7 pitched roof. He will cut corners on everything & then blame you!In the end you're left with a roof that is not what you thought you were getting and that won't keep water out of your house. Save yourself this experience.Photos of the work he defends and calls me "crazy" for bringing it to his attention. In one photo you can even actually see the plywood, which is wet from that morning's rain.Then he will put a lien on your house AND file suit against you to request payment for his shoddy work knowing he did not follow the *** code nor the city code, nor even order enough required product to cover your roof pursuant to his own invoice. You will expend hours & significant sums defending yourself in Court, knowing and having proof of his prior bad acts, & be rewarded with not having to pay him. However you will not be reimbursed for your additional out of pocket costs and cover expenses. (Over $3k)Please interview in-person the roofer you hire so you can ascertain their genuineness. And then inspect your roof after any work is done before you issue payment. It's the best way to protect your investment.NOTE: Incident occurred in September 2023.

* WARNING * Ashco Roofing Damaged My Home And Never Paid Me For The Repairs On June 17th 2021, I hired Ashco Roofing to remove and install a new roof. Prior to the crew staring the process on my home I had many conversations with ************************* the owner of Ashco Roofing about my expectations and criteria for completing the job. I had been a roofer for three years, so I knew the requirements and procedures to properly preform the job.Initially I thought Ashco Roofing was the right company to complete the job, since I had several visits and conversations with **** before any work was ever started. He reassured me several times that he would do good job and address all my is***s.The job took two days to complete, however it has been nearly two years since the work was done, but I am still fighting **** to take ownership of his crew damaging the rain gutters, stucco, vegetation, faulty workmanship, improperly installing the roof and causing water to leak in the basement which lead to mold growing in the the wall.I called and texted **** multiple times about the is***s while the roof was being replace, but he never took corrective action to address all the damage which his crew did to my home. In fact he has NEVER stopped by to inspect the work or damages. ***** only concern was to get paid and any costs that benefited him. **** demanded full payment and eventually placed a lien on my home and *** for payment. He never properly severed me and a hearing was held without my peasants because he made false claims that I had been served but I hadnt nor could he prove it. I later showed evidance to the court that I was never served, and the judge rule in my favor; however, payment was is***d to him because a garnishment ruling yet I was not notified so I could take corrective legal action. **** is a selfish, arrogant. heartless and ruthless contractor!DO NOT HIRE HIM!Please what my entire video review.****************************

I had a different roofing company reach out to me directly to have entire roof redone. My insurance company said the damage was not enough to install new roof and when I came back with the quote of inspection, they said they would get to it when able then avoided my calls. Ashco responded to me right away and repaired the roof the very next day. I appreciate their business so much. Highly recommended for responsiveness and quality. They only requested payment for quote of inspection.

I enjoyed getting my roof redone with Ashco Roofing. They were the cheapest of the five estimates that I got and they began working quickly. I accepted their offer on a Friday and by Monday they began taking off the old shingles and putting on the new shingles. They also installed ridge vents for me and when I called about a concern I had with the vents, they sent someone later that day to fix it. They were nice and very responsive, which I really admired.

When I accepted Ashco's bid I thought I found someone with integrity but that turned out to be far from the case. ************************* is the most unprofessional person I have dealt with! He then tried to **** us off on a subcontractor and did not even communicate it until I had to ask him who I need to talk to because he NEVER responded AT ALL!!I Never checked their work and left us with a very serious situation and did not even try to rectify or fix it. I will not be recommending Ashco to ANYONE EVER!!! They are terrible at customer service and communication. Their work ethic is unprofessional at best and they seem to have no accountability for their actions and hurt people without remorse. This company should not be able to continue to get away with all of their poor service and bullying customers. They DO NOT do the job that they bid and they cut corners and cause bigger issues. We had to have the repairs that they "Fixed" repaired as they caused the entire roof to leak. NEVER use this company, They are shady and absolutely unprofessional, they DO NOT do the job they say they will and you will definitely have severe issues if they touch your roof. It took them 5 months to even start the job, it was a nightmare from the start, SO MANY RED FLAGS!!! This company is by far the most unprofessional company I have ever had to work with and then they try and *** you because they do not do what the bid/say they cause much more severe issues for you and you won't pay them until the job is actually done and fixed correctly. If I could give them a million negative stars I absolutely would. BBB you should not have to give a Star to someone by default, they are undeserving of it and I cant believe I have to give them one to submit my review...

Had my roof replaced soon after a leak developed which ruined the ceiling in a bedroom. When the section of ceiling came down revealed the wet insulation and wet carpeting. This made the room unusable during the holiday season. Contacted ASHCO and they made it very clear they had no intention of honoring the written warranty. Had another company come out assess the needed repair. They found a significant number of basic roofing procedures which were not followed. This includes starter row and first row 1/2 break, no flashing along vertical walls or improper flashing installed leaving exposed wood, ice barrier installed on top of the paper, no step flashing where needed. I have numerous pictures available.

I just filed a formal complaint with the **** ********** of ******** *************************************************** (https://*********.gov/complaint/index.html) against ************************* of Ashco Roofing. The reasons for my complaint are documented in a 51-page file at https://www.dropbox.com/s/hnt5thkarku2xk5/****%20submission.pdf?dl=0. *************************, building official for the ********************************************** of ***** County, visited my home on the morning of 6/29/21. Another local roofer and home inspector recommended I contact ***** County to determine whether ************************* had acquired a permit to reroof my house. **** confirmed that ***** County had not granted a permit to **** so he issued a Stop Work that day. Along with illegally reroofing my home, ****** craftmanship is the worst I have seen in my life. If more people took the time and effort to inspect his work, as I and ***** County did, he would soon be out of business. **** is the kind of "roofing expert" that gives the roofing industry a bad name.
