I reached out to requenas, To get a quote on doing a bathroom remodel for me. He has done work for my parents in the past. He quoted me $3k just in labor, for doing the bathroom. And I buy all the parts he needs. They started on Dec 12 2023. I paid him 2k up front. And 1k when he was finished. In cash. The issue started when I noticed how he was leaving the house. Dust, mud, rust, concrete and tools. All throughout the house. And it continued to get worse with holes and scratches on walls and mirrors being broken. I called him and tried to talk to him about it. And it seemed like he did not want to hear It. He kept on insisting me too. Stop his work. Which I stopped it for the meantime. Hoping he would come talk to me about the issue. but he Completely stop responding to me. And told his worker to get there stuff and leave. Leaving the house a complete mess. The issue was not resolved for 2-3 days. Until I had to get my parents to reach out to him, since he no longer wanted to talk to me. We met in person and talked about it. I told him on how all I wanted was a bathroom to be done, So we can move into this home I just bought. A week-long project turned into almost a month, My parents had to be the middle man. He only talked to them so whenever he needed something, he would contact them. And they would relay the message to me and vice versa. The day they finished was on Dec 28 2023. Which I paid him the remaining money. $700. He took off $300 for the mirror he broke. The day after, I was painting the bathroom and was about to put on the toilet, when I Notice something in the drain of the toilet. He took all the debris and old wax ring, and put it down the drain of the toilet. I was lucky to catch that before putting on the toilet. that would have clogged my drain and made a bigger mess. I was able to take my first shower and notice. The filler they used in between the tile was starting to bleed and completely coming off leave gaps. I don't know what to do now.
