They were selling used shelving units in the classifieds) On Sunday, ******* and I come to an agreement for me to pick up a shelving unit before 6 on Monday. ??At 4:28 PM on Sunday I ask for the address but am only asked what time I want to come. The ad says Riverton, so at 8:55 I text Riverton, Right? And get no response. Assuming it must be Riverton I get the OK to leave work at 4:30.?? Monday at lunch, I ask again for the address and am given an address in Orem. Not ideal since traffic at point of the mountain is terrible. I get there at 5:45 p.m. This is where I realize Im not dealing with a business not a person. ******* is baffled that I showed up with an SUV (the whole selling point of this shelving model is no hardware or tools required - its plug and play). ******* has thrown away the original pins and instead bolted the shelf together in a way that a ratchet cannot be used on. (Theres a fun video attached... you tell me if you want someone working on your car who uses janky hardware that cant be removed.) She pretends the words put together in the ad somehow implied she had permanently assembled it and had to be transported as a whole (There were no real pictures in the ad). ??She gets a technician from the shop with all their fancy tools and they start trying to get the bolts off. It's not working. Ive been there 10 minutes and they have one of twenty bolts off between the 2 of them. I offer to help, but they tell me theres not a way for me to help. I dont like hovering so I give her the money and say Ill pick em up later if they just leave them outside the shop. (Naive I know, *** me) ??She says Ok. Out of space. She calls and reneges on doing it that night. I cant come back. I spend $26 three hours and bruise my knuckles doing for them. Treated like garbage when I ask for partial refund.
