On or about May 10,2023 I received a verbal bid for some concrete flat work an curbing from Guatavo Vasquez, I asked him to give me the bid in writing I did not get that, the bid was for $12,000 i still wanted a bid in writing before he started working his claim was he was out of bid sheets , he required $6000 before he started so I wrote him a check his claim was that he could not cash the check or deposit it in his bank without a 2 week waiting period, I took him to the bank and he cashed it, he then did the flat work and told me the job was done and wanted me to pay him the rest if the money, I told him I would give him $2000 until the job was done. He took offense to that and wanted all of it i ended up giving him $5000 he still had forms to clean up and tools he left around my home. After about 10 days there was nothing done I tried to get a hold of him with no answer I finally got a hold of one of his co-workers that finally came and cleaned up the mess they left still nothing on my curbing around the end of May he came by and told me he had sub-contracted the curbing to someone else and they would do the work June 19th that day has come and gone I have tried numerious time to get a hold of him and all I get is voicemail, I would like to either have him finish the job or give me back $3000 so I can get it finished, I gave him cash on this project I understand I made a lot of mistakes in dealing with this man I don't know if anything can be done but I would appreciate help
