I paid payments to the provider, the last payment was on 10/25/2023, they turned me over to collections on that day. Blanca in the billing office said they don't send statements after the 3rd statement. A consumer has a right to know a reflective balances after each payment is made. The last billing statement they sent me was on 8/9/2023 with a due date of 8/29/2023, which a payment was made to them on 8/28/2023. No other billing or invoicing statement was sent out after the 8/28 payment was made. They sent me a text message on 10/2 as a reminder, which was due on 10/29, I made a payment on 10/25/2023 - the September payment was missed as they did not and admitted not sending out a statement after the 8/9 date. Today I asked Blanca at the providers office to request a client recall and I would pay them in full over the phone, she refused. This is an unfair business practice. The rep Blanca also lied about making contact with the collection agency, the agency reported the office did not speak with them today. That is in violation of the fair debt collection under deceptive communication. They also charged a specific fee when they turned it over to collection that I did not sign a consent for such fee. I am attempting to collect my medical records.
