Went to Utah Valley emergency on a Saturday with what appeared to be a flare up of diverticulitis. Spoke with the ER doctor for maybe a total of 20 minutes. Very nice guy. That being said, a week or so later received a bill from them for $794. Outrageous! The bill was also filled with threats of "collections" if not paid promptly. Filled out the medical insurance information on the back of the bill and sent it back. Received another bill stating that they had billed my insurance and that they had assigned the total amount to my deductible, and that I was now on the line for the entire amount. Contacted my insurance and they had no record of these guys ever sending them a bill. Of course by then, I had already sent them the full amount to avoid being sent to a collections company. Tried calling. Can't ever get through to someone with a pulse. The phone keeps telling me that I have made an invalid entry! I feel their business practice is to keep jerking you around so long that you get frustrated and just hang up. These guys suck!
