In July 13 2023 I booked a visit to Splash Summit Resort for the last day of vacation July 14, 2023. The order number was #******** for FRIDAY, JULY 14, 2023 Island Cabana #4 (JULY) 10:00 am – 8:00 pm. Our car broke down and had to be towed and I called to try to cancel our reservation. I was told my $268.13 was not refundable despite my hardship. They told me they could only issue a gift card #**********. I explained that I live in NH and was not planning a trip back to Utah but they said that was all that could be done. There was no escalation process and no further action I could take. Then on July 23, 2024 I received an email stating that my name and email had been used to make a purchase. #******** for 2024 Day Pass 4 x Single-Day Adult Admission 1 x Single-Day Child Admission (Guests Under 48") 3 x DAY Single Tube in the amount of $149.08. I called and they asked if the charge had shown on my account. I said it’s Credit card : ***** which is not a card I own. They said someone at the park had booked it and it must have been linked to my email by mistake. I reviewed what took place last year and my dissatisfaction and asked them to remove my info from their system. I was informed they couldn’t. They informed me I still would not be reimbursed and that there was nothing more they can do. I asked for a manager. They said she was not available and they could not provide a full name or phone number to contact her directly, only her email *********************. I don’t feel like this an ethical way to do business. They are providing my personal information without consent after denying me a refund for nearly $300 for a hardship beyond my control. I ultimately would like my information removed from their systems to prevent further possible damages from my personal information being mishandled. I also feel that the $268.13 should refunded to me.
