Salesperson comes out and does estimate but does not commit to a date that work will start. Tells customer to call in several weeks for a firm date. He tells you that they are so busy that you need a deposit before you can get on the list to start. Pricing system was for 20% deposit then 40% when they start and last 40 % at end of job. 60 days later, two no shows on start date, no return phone calls or texts. Asking for return on my deposit $700 but no response or contact.

Did our large patio in July of 2020. We were back and forth on the problems. We went to the bank and they got some of our money back. That fall he shows up with a sob story.we paid him by check *****. Admitted that it was a terrible job and promised he would personally do it in April of 2021. All we hear is dont put your patio furniture on it because you are on my radar and any other excuse he could think of. This where we sit ****** later. What a scam. We are in our 70s and have we been cooped!!!!!

I contracted with SJF Customs on 15 Jul 2021 to complete my front walk and porch and back patio. It is 8 Nov 2021, 4 months later and the work is still not done. They are quick to provide quotes and to sell their work, but their work teams and supervisors are chaotic, un-disciplined, and un-responsive/non-committal to customers via phone or text. They don't seem to have a plan to finish this work. Their workers appear to be teenagers who the supervisor refers to as "the kids". They do not clean up after their work and leave equipment and materials strewn about at the end of the day. Thy splatter their product when installing it on the side of the porch and house. The workers try hard but supervision does not adequately lead or appear to train them well. I also question why they do not use breathing safety equipment when installing the noxious protective coating. The end result does not look like what is advertised. They only applied one coat of sealer (that I could observed) when the contract calls for three coats. They do not appear to be concerned with customer reviews. I would never recommend ********************** for work on your house; unfortunately I am stuck because half the work is done. I do not suggest signing a contract with this company.
