I filled out a pre qualification form for information to possibly refinance my car. I did not give my social security number and was only aware about a soft credit pull. They somehow managed to do a hard pull on my credit, I was not aware of this and would not have submitted it had I known. I would like this removed from my credit report. I am also going to file a dispute with credit agencies for the hard pull, as i did not knowingly consent to it.Business response

On December 22, 2021 we received notice regarding a complaint filed against ***************** LLC, DBA Rateworks, through the Better Business Bureau. Rateworks is committed to providing the best possible customer service, so we have investigated the complaint and made the following determination.
On December 20, 2021 *************************** completed a pre-qualification form from Lending Tree for an opportunity to re-finance his 2020 Chevrolet Equinox with Rateworks. In order to provide ******************** with this opportunity, a soft-inquiry was placed on his credit report.
Rateworks takes our responsibility as a data furnisher seriously and is diligent about reporting data that is accurate and complete. We have conducted an investigation and have confirmed that the inquiry was a soft credit pull. We have sent Transunion a request of deletion to ensure that Mr. ********* credit is reporting accurately. This request was sent via certified mail (tracking # **** **** **** **** 9265)on January 5, 2022.
We want ******************** to know we thoroughly researched his concerns. Our success is based on customer satisfaction with our products and services so we take the issues presented in this complaint seriously and make every effort to provide a prompt and equitable response.
