Deseret First Credit Union is reporting a late on my credit file that is in accurate and not at all my fault. I recently checked my credit and noticed this on my credit file. I was refinancing the Deseret First Credit Union account and was advised by my lender and the title company to not make any payments as this could result in some mix ups with the refinance. However, it took longer than 30 days which caused them to put a 30 day late. I would like Deseret First CU to remove/repair this late on my credit. This late is inaccurate.

I co-signed on an auto loan for my daughter with Deseret First Credit Union. Part of the loan agreement is that we carry insurance on the car and provide said proof of insurance to DFCU. After a month or so from getting the loan, we started getting demand letters from DFCU stating we had not provided proof of insurance and if we don’t, they will add an insurance policy to our loan at our expense. I uploaded the proof required twice, called and spoke with Becky on 3-11-22 and with Yvonne on 3-24-22 after getting more letters. Both said the issue was resolved and to not worry. I have received at least seven notices in the mail for something we resolved by uploading the info online more than once. I finally had my daughter go in in-person and speak with an employee, Taylor M*******. She was asked to email him a copy, which I did. Another letter came. I called him. Nothing to worry about he said. Another letter came, I emailed him with no result. Today I got a letter in the mail stating they bought an insurance policy which was added to our loan for $1,582.00, at our expense! WHY??? We provided proof of their minimum required insurance MULTIPLE times!!!!

I had bought a Van 4 years ago. I financed it threw Desert Federal Credit Union. They keep adding insurance to my loan even though I not only meet there requirements for full coverage. But well over. I have showen tons and tons of prof that we had insurance. And they continue to add more and more every couple of months. I have sent proff to there office, I have called, I even wrote a email to the CEO. Nothing. They keep adding these fees. I am done. After the almost $1300 they just added to a total amount of almost $10,000. People need to know of there actions and something needs to be done.

I called Deseret first credit union months ago to set up weekly payments on my personal loan for $126.00 a week, my minimum is $232.00/a month. It took multiple attempts for them to get the paperwork right to get this set up. I also wanted to split my car payment into two payments biweekly. So 256.00 biweekly, something close to that. They set up for it to be my whole car payment biweekly, I had to call multiple times for that as well. They took out a whole car payment and the biweekly payments. I asked for the extra car payment to be refunded and it never was. In addition, I got my credit report saying I owe higher than my original loan amount was. So their reporting is inaccurate and it needs to be fixed. Also, I hear on their automated message when I call that they’re offering students tumbler cups to sign up as a new member which is actually illegal to offer. I think there’s more going on with this bank. I’m about to file a complaint with the FTC. I would like my banking and account looked into and make sure their reporting is accurate with my account and my credit report fixed.
