On 1/30/24 I created a direct call with Cheapandsteep.com a sister company to Backcountry.com. The call was intended to figure out a solution to purchase a Norrona Lofoten ski anorak jacket that was on sale from $849 to $288 (subtotal) I spoke to Magdalen in customer service specifically about coming to the store (30 mins) from where I was staying to purchase it. Originally I was told I could do that but then the CS agent stated the jacket was more expensive. I stated the jacket is also on your sister company’s sight “CheapandSteep.com” and the price I had is $288. I asked her to help ensure that given she could see that the jacket was present to help me make sure that I got the jacket timely. Magdalena stated she would ensure it was sent overnight air as a courtesy to the fact that I couldn’t come get the jacket personally even though it was present in the store. So we both stayed on the phone together. At this point she was watching to ensure the transaction went through so she could then give free shipping and deliver it next day via fedex overnight shipping. (I have screenshots of these transactions and their completion alongside dialogue with “Magdalena” the CS rep assisting. Then yesterday on 2/1 I was told when I was looking for info on the shipment by their CS team that the jacket wasn’t in stock any longer. (This is very disappointing given the fact that I could have driven to buy it and a CS rep spent almost 30mins on the phone getting this transaction to go through.) I then asked how it was possible given the above mentioned and I was simply told “sorry” it’s out of stock. What I did find is that the same jacket is listed in Green on the parent companies (Backcountry.com) website. I would be satisfied with receiving this option as it’s identical minus the color. I also presented the idea of giving me a 35% discount t code and I’d pick my own coat. Given the magnitude of the issue I felt this was a reasonable request. Payment was completInitial Complaint

On 05/18/2023, I bought a pair of shoes on this website, but the shopping address I filled in was wrong. After I successfully placed the order, I immediately contacted the website as soon as possible. But there is no online customer service, so I can only leave a message through the contact us at the bottom of the page. Not only that, I also sent an email to the website. But all the above efforts have no effect, the website does not respond in the slightest! The shoes are still shipped. After the shoes were shipped, I continued to try to leave a message on the website to contact customer service, but it still didn't work. I later called customer service to explain the situation and the shoes were returned. At that time, the phone said that there will be no chargeback in this case, but yesterday I found out that I paid $174.91, but only returned $156.97. My shipping was deducted, which I disagree with, and contacted the site, but still no response. I have to complain to the end about this. The "Contact Us" section at the bottom of the site has no record, but I have contacted over 20 times and all I have is email. In addition, I clicked the return button in the product when the website did not respond, because my delivery address was wrong, and I was worried about losing the item. I later contacted the telephone customer service and asked him to help with the return process and sent me a ups file. The item was still in transit and he said there would be no charge because I asked to cancel the order while they hadn't shipped, but there was no response.Initial Complaint

Subject : Package is missing. Date : 3rd Jun. Package value : $669.36 1, International order was plased on 30th May with total amount $ 733.28 2, Order was shipped and splited as two packages on 30th May , 3, I always collect several orders from different suppliers then arrange delivery to freight forwarder's warehouse for years. I missed freight forwarder's notice about warehouse moving in mid May and closed by 27th May. Still I provide old warehouse address to supplier for order shipping. 4, I didn't know warehouse new address untill 1st Jun. So I was emailing supplier ( steep and cheap ) to notice shipping company to change shipping address on 1st Jun. 5, However, two packages were still shipped to old address on 3rd Jun as below, a, One package $63.92 shipped by UPS MI and kept in post office till warehouse staffs to get it by 6th Jun. b, Another one cost $669.36 shipped by Lasership company was missing. According to tracking information, package was delivered and signed by "Gary L** " on 3rd Jun . In fact, forwarder's warehouse was closed by 27th May. The buliding was empty and door was closed. Freight forwarder told me no one knows who "Gary L** " is ?? 6, I contact supplier" steep and cheap " for several times through email about missing package but only got reply as below, " We apologize for this inconvenience. The address was attempted to be changed, on June 3rd, as we sent Lasership shipping company the address, but being it was out for delivery, they were unable to complete the request. With these shipments to Freight Forwarding addresses, we're unable to move forward, so we ask that you contact the address you had this shipping to , and connect with the one who signed for this. 7.,The truth is I did not receive one of my order packages. I need a reply how shipping compay " Lasership " deal with my package. If they did receive supplier's notice about address change, package should be returned to supplier instead giving to somebody.
