            I was told that I would be called prior to them running my test to confirm I was okay with the amount. I was never called once i received no communication from them. I was also told my insurance covered the test and that my out of pocket would only be $244 but I just recieved a almost $3000 bill from my insurance which is absolutely insane! I would never agree to a test costing that much. It stated in my insurance bill that it was not covered even though myriad said that it was. I would never give the go ahead for that. Myriad is lying to it's customers and committing insurance fraud an I want something to be done about this! I am not paying that as I was flat out lied to. This is unacceptable.

            My doctor recommended I get a genetic screening for breast cancer given my family history. They arranged it through Myriad and got it approved by my insurance company. The blood test was simple and I got the results. After that, dealing with Myriad became a nightmare. They filed with the insurance company in the wrong state. It took forever to straighten out and I kept initiating phone calls both with Myriad and the insurance company to figure it out. They told me over the phone that it was their fault and I would never owe any money until the insurance company paid it. But they started sending billing notices again, so I called and they said they would cancel them. Finally, my insurance company paid (about 5 months after the test). As soon as the check cleared, I paid the bill online. In the meantime, Myriad started sending me nasty notices from their internal billing collection agency (the first one was dated after I had paid my bill). These are ongoing almost 2 months later even though the bill was paid and I wrote them and they notified their billing collection agency of the situation. It has been a nightmare to work with them.
