I had signed a 5 year contract with Alder, and regreted it almost immediately. the selling agent lied to me about local fees. 5 months before my contract ended, i paid 90% of my remaining balance for the contract just to end it early. i was sent a document to sign, i signed it that day and returned it. Unknown to me, alder said they did not receive the signed cancellation confirmation and continued to charge me for a year and a half at just under $66/mo. I notice once i moved, reached out to them, cancelled my service (again) and requested a refund. i send them proof that i returned the signed document as soon as i received it and the proceded to tell me the refund was being worked on for the next 4 weeks. every time i call, i am told i will likely get it back, that its crazy that this happened, they dont know whats taking so long, that they have escalated it and i will get a call. ive called them now 8 times, spent a cumulative 5 hours on the phone and have never once received a call back, and now they are telling me there is a high chance i wont get a refund at all.
