Was horrible an they charged my card again when i had already paid through Hotwire.com but they said the date was wrong and they wanted to fix it. Asked for my card. But it ended up charging me and they made me put 100 cash down deposit an are Refusing to refund... because i had my ride come for me at 10:00am. At 10:00.03 they came pounding and yelling an screaming at my door. Even tho i did reserve for 2 adults only I slept there. I went in to talk to the manager few times never available and yessenia mgr name never answers her phone. I made a complaint to Hotwire as well they also tried to get in touch. As well. I think they do this to everyone. This is crazy the way she was yelling at me over a ride coming in to help with my bags which he didn't know that i didn't have them. But should have not been such a big deal.

On 8/17 I booked a room for my daughter at 4pm mdt Her name is ***** ******. I was advised after booking she Would need ID and confirmation number. She had both and presented this to the desk attendant at 9pm. He told her she needed to give her 100.00 cash to get her key. She asked for a manager and none to be had. She told him she did not have that cash and that the booking I made was told ID and confirmation number. I advised her to leave (she is 31) because this sounded a bit sketchy. She then obtained a hotel room south of Salt Lake City. This is unconscionable!!’ I called the booking company *** *** **** and spoke to Kim on 9/17 that I wanted a refund . She then told me she would follow up and get back to me in 5 days. It is now 9/5 and I have heard nothing. I made a dispute charge with my credit card company which could take weeks. The amount owed to me Is 97.76 .

On January 28 2022 my boyfriend and I were attending a concert At the complex in SLC and decided to stay in the Econo lodge downtown. When we got there to check in they told us we needed a 100$ cash only deposit which wasn’t advertised on the website. We get to our room and notice the door looks as if it’s been kicked in and doesn’t shut or latch unless it’s locked. There was two holes in the shower behind the faucet to where we could see the piping. The bedding had multiple stains. The outlets were very loose to where when we plugged something in it would immediately fall right out. Some outlets didn’t even have covers on them. There were mouse feces scattered amongst the room. After we got back to our room from the concert we let our ride use the restroom before he left. He was in the room for 2-4 minutes. We get a call on the room phone saying we won’t get our deposit back since we brought an unregistered guest into the room. The employees were rude and when asked for a managers phone number they denied me.

They weee dirty, the room smelled, the pillows were stained, the shower was broken, the door was broken and had been kicked in in the past. There was burn marks in all of the blankets. The receptionist was rude and refused to give us our money back for the days that we didn’t use. We would like a refund as we didn’t get the services that were paid for.

I arrived at the econo lodge in Salt Lake City on 7/28 at 5pm, there was a line of people out the door and they were standing there in 90 degree weather. The woman at the front desk was very unprofessional in demeanor and was asking everyone for $100 cash to book a room, even those with reservations were asked to provide this. Now, I have been staying at hotels for over 20 years all around the globe, I’ve probably stayed at hotels more than 1000 times and never before have I ever been asked to give a $100 cash deposit at the front desk. This hotel has some fishy things going on, I've always been asked for an ID and a credit card for incidentals but never cash, I mean who carries cash like that on their person these days any way??!! The front staff person was unprofessional to the core, seems like to work at this place you have to fail a common courtesy test in order to be hired. As I type this I am bracing for battle to get my money back, maybe even see if there's any legal recourse on the matter. I wonder if this was the work of a front line worker trying to pocket extra cash in the manager's absence or actual common practice there, seems really fishy. Also people were standing there outside in 97 degree weather waiting for this inefficient front desk worker to do her job, not cool at all. I ended up staying at another hotel that only asked for my ID and when I asked if they needed a credit card for incidentals they said no. That's how it should be! Either ask for an ID and credit card or ID only. I’ve already called twice Priceline, the 1st time I spoke with Steven and the 2nd time to someone that did not give me his name but spoke with a foreign accent. The hotel staff just puts me on hold forever and do not return to the phone.

We ordered a room for the 6th of July to the 7th of July, we arrived early morning and was turned away and told they had no rooms and was refused a refund. We returned the next day for a room for the 7th of July 2022 to the 11th and were demanded to pay a $100 cash deposit. This time we did get to stay however the air conditioning didn't work and there was nearly 100 degrees and it leaked water across the floor, the tv didn't work and the water kept shutting off, there was drug dealers in the parking lot that came at me with a club. We ended up leaving early after two days and ending our vacation a refund was refused. We are looking for a full refund for this atrocious stay under these inhumane conditions as well as a full refund for the night we were not allowed to stay that we paid for.

There was no running water in the bathroom The furniture was broken and the floors were extremely dirty. There isn't an option to check out early and get a refund and it should be. The pictures online are false and misleading. The rooms should be checked for mold.

On Monday 02/28/2022, I had a reservation for the Econo Lodge in Salt Lake City. My girlfriend and I checked in around 8pm, went to room #119 and immediately saw how disgusting it was. The bed was COVERED in hair and there were cobwebs in the corners, but we had been driving all day and were tired so we were just going to deal with it. My girlfriend got in the shower and then screamed and told me to come into the bathroom. She pointed at the inside of the shower curtain which had spots all over it. The spots were clearly dried blood droplets and that was the last straw for us. We packed up our stuff, went to the front desk around 8:20pm and checked out. The woman gave us our deposit back and apologized. I asked what the managers name was and she said Jesse. The next day I called and spoke with a different manager (maybe Gabby?) who said she would get ahold of Jesse to get me a refund. I called them multiple times over the next few days only to be told that Jesse was continually unavailable. Finally today 03/17/2022, I called and was told that Jesse was unavailable but that she was supposed to have called me to tell me I was not getting a refund. I asked why and the woman said they couldn't tell if there was blood in the shower or not. I asked if Jesse had a boss and she said to call Choice Hotels in a rude tone and hung up the phone. Not only was the room filthy, the treatment I received from "managers" was also disgusting. I do not recommend anyone ever stay in this hotel as the staff clearly don't care about their customers which is ironic considering they work in hospitality.

Check-in Tue, Jan 11, 2022 Check-out Wed Jan 12, 2022. Booked via Hotwire.com, hotel itinerary number is **********. Additional refunded cash deposit of $100 as well as Hotwire payment charged to my credit card $49.42. The charge in question was a $350 charge for a "stolen TV box" stated on 1/20/2022 by hotel manager named "Yessy". I rented a one night stay. We got there in the evening and were exhausted. The room was disgusting with visible filth along walls and surfaces and the television didn't work I was charged $350 and the hotel manager "Yessy" claims I stole the "tv box". If you google the word "TV" in the reviews, there's pages of reviews stating that the TVs don't work. They ask for a $100 CASH deposit and charge your credit card for fraudulent claims of theft. Avoid this hotel at any cost. They will also lie about how your check in was done. Based on numerous bad reviews on google and elsewhere, this place is to be avoided.
