I received a piece of mail regarding getting labor posters for my business. After looking over the document and feeling it be official, I complied and paid the $114 for the posters. The next day I requested a refund, because I noticed on the document that it said if you have at least one employee you owe. Being a sole proprietorship I decided to get my money back. I have been trying to get my money back since June 17th. I thought they were a government agency or something of the sorts so I pestered them then waited and pestered them so more. Finally they said they cannot refund me unless I want a check, I accepted and waited two weeks for the check. After I received the check I tried cashing it 3 times and it was cancelled every time. My bank explained the format was off, so I came in person and it looked to be promising. Now as of yesterday 8/1/24 my check was cancelled and I called again to the bank, they explained to me that there must be no funds in the account of LLCS. I then did some research and ended up here finding out I was scammed. I have tried to have my bank dispute the original charge but I would like to have more irons in the fire if possible.

I received a document that looks like a bill and very official. Sure on the envelope it states that this is a NON-GOVERNMENT AGENCY, but to someone without business experience one would think you would have to pay the $114 for a Labor Law Poster (which are free). People organize an LLC for various reasons and they are not always for the purpose of an employee/employer relationship. I believe this is a gross misrepresentation of a business trying to collect monies for Labor Law Posters and from the looks of the complaints, they have been doing this for awhile now.

Received the attached letter without explanation. The letter appears to be legal from a government department requesting money for a labor law compliance notice post. This letter is extremely misleading and seems fraudulent. This company should be shut down. I am concerned how they received my information with my address and business name.

I received a deceptive letter in the mail from LLCS, **** ** ******** *** *******, Salt Lake City, UT 84106 telling me that because I have set up an LLC with the State of Utah that I'm now required to display a poster in my place of business that shows federal employment labor law information pursuant to "Federal Law 29 USC Sec. 666 (i) & 29 Sec. 2005". Then the letter threatens that there are penalties and risk for non-compliance that can lead to fines in excess of $7,000 per instance. It's obvious they've gotten my name and information from the State of Utah's database. They are trying to scare me into sending them $114.00 in order to be in “compliance with federal laws.”Don't "sucker" for this fraudulent scam. Someone needs to stop these type of scammers from terrorizing people or companies with their harassment approach.

I've done some research: The U.S. Dept. of Labor has FREE posters for download from their website for whatever kind of business situation you have. Don't "sucker" for this fraudulent scam. Is there no legal remedy to put a stop to this?

On your BBB website, there are numerous complaints about a company called "LLCS" with an address of **** ** ******** *****. Go read them.......... You (BBB) are not giving any of the complainants any information on WHAT TO DO. I just got the same very formal-looking invoice from this LLCS company alleging a "Labor Law Compliance Notice". It is fraud!!!!!! We need BBB to tell us WHO TO CALL or WHAT TO DO. I/we don't know what to do -- but we need to get the state authorities or federal authorities looking into this company. We are looking to the BBB for advice.

I registered an LLC with the State of Utah and within days received a letter from this company saying i owed them $104.00. When i tried to find the phone number to call them i found it was a bogus company and send this letter to my attorney. He said not to pay it and it was a Scam. How can we go after this company to stop this? Any time someone is filing for an LLC, they are being sent a letter saying they need to pay this. Thousands of people are getting ripped off and we need to stop this. LLCS - **** ***** ******** ****** *******, Salt Lake City, Ut 84106 envelope is sent to LLCS - ** *** ****** , Ft. Lauderdale Florida, 33310-9972
