This company is so fraudulent, its really pathetic how they are preying on people who are already struggling or attempting to make their dreams their reality. I dont care how long this process takes but I wont let this company get away with anything but a lawsuit and a new revision to some of the laws surrounding employment and misclassification of employeesReview from Kayla B

I tried to cancel my contract after signing as I felt pressured and they were completely dishonest. Then My cared got hacked and they were the only people that had the card on file. They charged me bi weekly payments instead of monthly on a training and classes I couldn't attend and didn't want to as my health has declined and they didn't care. They pretend Style Corp is there collection agency when it's really just ******************* tripping and being rude and disrespectful pretending to be someone else. These guys are wild crazy horrible actors. I was contacted online and went in for a job interview and now I am paying these scam artists because I can't cancel my contract within the first 24 hrs. This place is an absolute joke and should be shut down. I don't even work and going through a divorce chronically ill and I have now have stress of them taking more money than agreed and also getting nothing from it. I am sure they paid for the good reviews online. This is a horror story!Review from Peter H

Urban talent management is a company that scams young people into thinking they can be the next model and star. I signed a contract with this company and within 24 hours call to cancel the contract. I was told that I could not cancel the contract because they had me on video signing the contract with a no cancellation policy. Why are they videoing people signing a contract if they are a reputable company? Why? Because they know they are scamming people a lot of money. I have sent numerous request and a certified letter, and my request is always denied and I cannot get out of the contract paying $250 a month. I have not received anything from this company and have not taken any of their classes so therefore I should not have to pay. They have a no cancellation policy, so they obviously know what they are doing and scamming money from people. This is not an honest company, and somebody needs to do something about them to shut them down! Look at all the complaints they have for the exact same thing, they have threatened me with sending me to collections, but I will not be paying for something because I have tried to cancel. I am recently, divorced, full-time student, and living with my parents. I will not be paying for something I cannot afford - buyer beware! Do not sign with this company, and please, someone shut them down!Review from Jack R

Urban Talent is a mostly illegitimate modeling & acting agency that scams young and impressionable teenagers out of serious money.Don't be fooled by their social medias and website, they only represent a few models that get consistent work as a way to 'prove' their legitimacy. The bulk of their business relies on bringing in 99% of anyone who applies to their office for an interview, where they flatter you and say you have the exact look that the industry needs. They separate you from the other applicants so they can more easily manipulate you into signing their exclusive contract that locks you into a $2000+ payment for subpar training. When they are reviewing the contract with you, the manager quickly and vaguely goes over the contract while circling and highlighting things so it seems as if you went into an in depth discussion on the details of the contract.Due to them bringing in young and easily manipulated teenagers, the vast majority of people who sign with them WILL NOT get booked for any work. The contract has a no refunds and no cancellations clause that states you have to pay the $2000+ regardless of whether or not you choose to receive training. If you threaten litigation, they will have their sleazy subpar lawyer contact you to scare you into settling for a (slightly) lower amount or worst case sending the contract to collections. If a legitimate modeling agency such as NIYA wants to represent you, they will train you for free and build your portfolio because they know you can start a mutually beneficial relationship with the agency by finding consistent work.Stay away from Urban Talent Management.Review from Calvin H

I was recently scouted by Urban Talent Management back in March of 2023. I was 18 at the time and had no previous modeling experience. I was very overwhelmed throughout the entire interview process and barely had time to process everything the employee, ****, was throwing at me, which included flattery about how I was the exact look they needed, excessive amounts of information regarding what I needed to do in order to get a gig, my future prospects, where I was supposed to get a haircut and headshots done, a website with successful models on it to show me what I might become, etcetera. She did all of this in the span of about 10 minutes while vaguely telling me about the contracts and that I would need to pay their partner company Style ****$2000(which is actually owned by the same person, ***************, and located in the same building) When it came to the signing of the contracts I clearly expressed my concerns of not having a lot of time or money to do their training or work their gigs since I was in college and already had a job, but **** heavily assured me it would be fine and that once I was hired she would mentor me through anything I didnt understand in the contract. I ended up signing the contracts but felt so uneasy about it that I called my parents right after I left and found out it was a scam. I texted Urban within an hour of leaving that I wanted to cancel the contract. They had provided me with no services at the time so I thought they would be understanding and allow me to cancel it but I didnt know that they make the majority of their money from these scam contracts so they refused and redirected me to their other company Style **** When I did contact Style, they threatened to send me to collections if I didnt pay. I am now disputing said collections agency over what became the $2,800 that I allegedly owe them. Apparently this happens frequently to their 'talent' and a multitude of similar situations can be found on any review site online.Review from James W
