MY SON HAS MADE AN ARRANGEMENT WITH THIS ATTORNEY'S OFFICE. (ALAN G*****) HE PAID ON TIME. THIS PLACE STATED THEY OFFER A 10/15 DAYS GRACE PERIOD. IN NOVEMBER DUE TO THE POSTAL OFFICE BEING A BIT BEHIND BECAUSE OF THE UPCOMING HOLIDAYS , THE NOVEMBER PAYMENT WAS 2 DAYS LATE. THE ORIGINAL DEBT WAS FOR $ 1084.00 NOW AFTER PAYING $50 .00 EVERY MONTH SINCE JULY, THEY ARE CLAIMING THAT THE BALANCE IS ALMOST $1200. 00. THEY ARE A CORRUPTED, THREATENING AND HARRASING LAW FIRM AND EVERYONE IN UTAH SHOULD KNOW. WE HAVE ALSO FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE OFFICE OF PROFFESIONAL CONDUCT. WE WOULD LIKE TO KEEP PAYING AS PER THE ORIGINAL ARRANGEMENT.

The company is coming after me over a debt that is well over 7 years old and was removed from me owing it and removed from my credit report. It's a 10 year old debt that I already took care of.

On 12/5/2022, the law firm of Olson Shaner served me with a lawsuit seeking $768.67 related to an outstanding medical bill of $281.91. Olson Shaner sought attorneys fees of $350 and court fees over $200. When contacted via phone, no attorney or managing partner was available to speak during the week of 12/5-12/9 and I was directed to speak with "Gloria" and "Tia". Neither provided a last name nor did they provide any credential (such as license number or Utah Bar Association number when asked). "Gloria" stated that "Tia" was a paralegal for Attorney Shaner, however, no licensed paralegal was found on the Utah Bar Assoc. website in connection with Olson Shaner. I sought to collect information regarding the debt and was told that a letter was sent in 2018 and that "a couple phone calls that were not returned, and no voicemails were left." "Tia" stated "With phone calls, it is the recipient's responsibility to investigate a missed call." When asked about payment arrangements, "Tia" stated that payment plans would be filed with the court but a payment in full would resolve the case out of the court. "Tia" stated that they had no discretion with regard to disputed payments, and that I needed to make pay the debt or take the matter to court. After conversation with our attorney, this is not true and there is discretion in all matters. I stated desire to pay in full later that day, no one answered at the office (12/7) and did not return voicemail, then on 12/8/22 the offices were closed. When reached on 12/9/22, "Gloria" stated the case had been filed in the court and an additional $92 in court fees was added. This was all discussed on a recorded line, but when asked on 12/9/22, Gloria stated they had no record of the conversation, "just Tia's notes." Payment was made and collected in full of $858.67 on 12/9/2022, a receipt was requested but not provided. An additional call made on 12/12/22 and a receipt was sent via email. Resolution: Refund of legal fees.

I was just served court paper and told that I had a lawsuit against me by Olson Shaner on behalf of NAR Inc. They claim I have an unpaid balance from mountain America Credit union and seeking to get the unpaid amount plus the interest. The only problem is I was never contacted or notified by either the bank or by NAR Inc about unpaid balance nor was I given any opportunity to pay off said balance if it did exsist.
