On 1/3/2020 I paid in full the amount of $3,390 for husband and I for a trip from San Francisco CA to Rome. The pandemic closed the airports and travel for 2020. When I contacted the agency that booked the cruise thru phone and then thru email (*********************************) I was told that we would get a voucher and we could still use it when it was open again. Time went by for two (2) years and I finally got a link to book the trip. When going into the link ******************************* the trips have gone up to over $4,000 per person. We have no money to pay that much. The original trip is NOT even an option. They are directing us to a total different vacation. There is NO comparable to the original package. We, my husband ****** ******* and I **** ******* would like to have a full refund. Company: CruiseBuilder **** * *** ***** **** *** *** South Jordan, Ut 84009 ###-###-####Initial Complaint

Book through Latter-Day Travel/Vacation Builder/Cruise Builder a Cruise called Musica Italiana! to sail October 3-15 Starting in Milan and ending in Frankfurt Germany with a concert with Andrea Bocelli. We paid the $500 deposit and 1 payment of $1602.60. We became suspicious about this company when they stopped answering our calls or returning any calls. We looked up their reviews and saw many disgruntled customers with similar problems. Asked for our money back and received promises of a refund. Never got any money back and they would not answer or respond to our messages. Have now seen them on Get Gephart show trying to follow up on customers complaints, but they would not respond to him either.Initial Complaint

We paid Cruise Builder for our cruise by 7/16/19. It was cancelled twice and rescheduled then eventually completely cancelled. According to the email dated 9/21/21 we had until 11/30/23 to book another cruise. I've emailed and emailed them but get no reply and all phone numbers I had have been disconnected. Can you please advise if anyone has started a Class Action Lawsuit against Cruise Builder so I can be included? Thank you.Initial Complaint

We signed up for the Greece & Italy cruise/tour with Latter Day Travel aka Cruise Builder, aka Vacation Builder on Nov 23, 2022. This vacation was scheduled for May 25-June 7, 2023. We paid the full amount of $3204.00 per person for two passengers totaling $6408.00 as of Nov 23rd, 2022. Reservation confirmation number is ******* (See attached original Invoice). On Feb 23rd we received an email from Latter Day Travel/Vacation Builder cancelling our tour. In the email they also notified us that we would receive a full refund of $6408 within 30 days (See attached email). To verify this email was not sent in error, we also contacted Customer Service and received confirmation from a representative on the phone that indeed the tour was cancelled and we would receive a full refund by the end of March (See attached Phone Transcript) They also encouraged us to check back again with the Customer Service Dept. if we did not see our funds by the end of March, via the email to *************************** (see attached repeated email attempts) , you will find evidence that our follow-up attempts to reach out to them via email since our money has not even yet been refunded, have gone unanswered and the phone number is no longer in service. We filed a fraud complaint with Discover and have been stuck waiting for a resolution. The last agent we spoke to at Discover recommended we file a complaint with you. We have also been in touch with other scammed customers attempting to discern if a class action lawsuit can be brought against Latter Day Travel aka Cruise Builder, aka Vacation Builder, but have not heard of any yet. Investigative news reporters in Utah, consumer affairs, and law enforcement are all trying to track these people down with no success. We need your help to get our refund. We appreciate your investigation into this matter. Please let us know if you need additional information from us. Sincerely, ***** and ******** ******** *********************** ###-###-####Initial Complaint

After paying $10k for a cruise package (original trip cancelled due to Covid), we were finally able to book our trip. At one point, the company requested additional payments as costs had increased. After checking the costs on the airlines and cruise websites, it was clear the amount we’d paid was more than adequate to pay for the trip, so I refused. A month later, the company quit answering emails and would no longer take phone calls. Luckily, we still had a cruise line credit, so after purchasing airfare for two travelers (my husband I work for airlines, so can fly at no cost), we can still take our trip. This has caused an additional $2500 cost, but it’s better than losing everything.Initial Complaint

3 members of our family booked a trip through Latter-day Travel/Vacation Builder for October 2023. We have made significant down payments. We received an email on 2/23/23 stating the trip had been cancelled and we would receive a refund within 30 days. It is now 8/18/23 and we still have not received any refund. We cannot get anyone inside the company to answer phone calls, emails, etc. I have attached documentation and have other supporting documents to upload, if necessary. We would like a full refund as promised.Initial Complaint

On January 14, 2000 I paid $5990.00 for a cruise that was eventually cancelled. When I tried to rebook they said they could no longer offer the cruise and would refund the money. The refund never came.
