Car was repoed due to an error with auto payment incorrectly setup. We immediately paid up same day and the bank confirmed they issued the release same day. The repo company requires a confirmed appointment to release the vehicle and has refused to confirm in order to collect more storage fees.

I am rejecting this response because:

We recovered our truck, but were still charged $100 for it despite the bank issuing a release after it only being there for two hours. We called same day and the receptionist yelled at us instead of helping us make an appointment like it says to call and get help on the website. Additionally, they refused to confirm our appointment for Tuesday, but after being notified of this complaint, they released it to us on Wednesday stating we had to bring $100 in cash to have it released. I have the screenshot to prove this, but it will not upload here. I would be happy to email it. Then when it was released it smells like smoke. We had two car seats that cost around $215 after tax each that now smell like cigarette smoke, as well as the cab of the truck for which a smoke clean detail price starts at $200, and we also had other blankets and shirts in there . We need at MINIMUM both car seats replaced and the cab cleaned. My husband has asthma and our two children cannot sit in smoke smelling car seats. We reported it to the office and called the claims specialist, ******, who is refusing to do anything. We are non-smokers. Our truck did not smell like smoke before Repros Recovery took it into their possession and it did once we opened the doors on their lot. They need to pay for the damages they caused.

      Sincerely,

      *********************************

This is a repo company that never learned the rules which guide their trade. While attempting to repossess a car that doesn't exist, they unlawfully cut the locks off of the gate to my back yard, damaged my house and let me dogs out of the yard, one of which was later found hit by a car.

Our drivers undergo annual continuing education and are well-informed not to remove any locks for any reason. Please send any police reports to our office so we can further investigate this incident. Thank you.

My vehicle was repossessed due to late payment on 7.18.23 and was reinstated to my possession today, 7.20.23. When picking up my vehicle, I noticed that it had a tarp covering the vehicle and secured through the doors. When I asked about this, the repo center representative told me it was because of a leaking sunroof. Once I drove my vehicle through their lot, I realized that the vehicle was missing the sunroof. The entire glass portion of my sunroof was gone. When I brought up the issue with the representative he said that there was nothing he can do unless I can prove that it was missing when he repossessed it- he then said that after taking the vehicle the driver had to pull over and that’s when he noticed it was gone and that is when his driver took pictures of the missing sunroof. I asked the representative if he the driver took pictures prior to repossessing the vehicle, and he denied that they took pictures prior to obtaining the vehicle. Regardless, the repo center, Repros, refused to file a claim with my report and refuses to help me unless I can supply video footage of the vehicle getting towed with the sunroof intact. A police report has been filed and I can supply that case number at your request. I am working on getting neighbors video footage to verify the sunroof was intact, but at this point it seems to be getting into a civil litigation case. Not to mention, when I walked in to talk to them about the sunroof, they guy already knew what I was coming in for. Why would someone who already had a missing sunroof plane the tow company? Video proof will be obtained and a lawsuit will be filed.

My car was repossessed August 30, 2022 at 11:45 pm. Today, September 7, 2022, I called to pick up the vehicle from where it was stored. I was told I had to pay for 9 days of storage fees. $25 times 9 is $225. They also charged me a $50 personal property administration fee and a $100 admin/redemption fee. In total I paid $375 in cash to have my car returned to me today. I disputed 1 day of storage fees because the car was picked up at 11:45 pm Tuesday night. Ricky whom I spoke with and took care of the paperwork, would not waive the fee. She insisted that only Loss Prevention Services LLC or Global Lending Services LLC could waive the fee. They both told me they can't waive fees for local businesses. Anyhow, I feel they misrepresented themselves to include an extra day when to safety drive the car and put it in the gated lot would have been into Wednesday, August 31, 2022. So, I feel they are dishonest and used duress to get their way. Further, nothing in may car was moved or gathered up, therefore, I shouldn't have been charged a $50 personal property administration fee because everything was as it was when I left it. I was over charged $75.00 and placed under duress to pay in cash under a time constraint to pick up my car or face additional fees. I signed paperwork that held all three parties harmless. And Finally, my car was stored in a lot that was locked and safe, yet was not safe from the elements such as trees shedding sap on my car. My car was dirty from the weather. After, I picked it up, it was covered in sap. I did not notice this until after I picked up the car and drove away. I believe Repros Recovery owes me a $75.00 refund and a complete wash and detail of my exterior to remove the sap which is estimated to be $150 or more in costs. A simple wash will not and dry will not restore the paint finish. My car is mostly stored under a car port and the near trees at my apartment complex have never shed sap. Further, my work, there are no trees.
