Needed sub floor replace and leveled. Contacted Ace Handyman Services because they were the top name on line as being the best in the area. Was given a bid for $1500.00, which I excepted. 3/3/23 Ace proceeded to rip out the floor, and discovered mold. They called Servpro to remove the mold the same day. After Servpro was finished Ace tore out a piece of the floor and replace with a piece of wood that turns out to not be level with the floor. They also tore out the Vanity from bathroom. As they are doing this I mention that I want to remodel my kitchen and living room. So Ace offers me a bid of $8600.00 to do the work. I paid for all materials I excepted the bid So right away the work stops on my subfloors in hall and bathroom. They start ripping the cabinets out in the kitchen. The floor in the bathroom has metal stubs sticking out of the floor, after complaining about the metal stubs being harmful to our feet, nothing was done. The bathroom stayed unfinished. 3/11/23 they asked for the money for the subfloor which was suppose to be $1500.00, but was charged $3400.00 more than doubled the price I was quoted. When I asked why it was more than doubled for the unfinished floor, was told they would send a receipt, which I never got. As they are doing my cabinets I realize they are making a lot of mistakes, and when I mention this they tell me they will do all the final touch up at the end of finishing the work, which never got finished. One of the cabinets was painted and installed before they told me it wasn’t the right size and cuts off half of my air duck, and is half the size in the back as the other cabinet on each side of the it. The cabinets doors are all uneven. There are lots more problems, charged painting for living room kitchen and bathroom, which was not done, along with other many other items. Again everything is incomplete . Son would not let me talk to other owner. Requested twice. I have to pay again to have all redone. Lots of mistakes
