      Re: Security National Mortgage Company, Unresolved PMI Overcharges I’m writing to describe my experience with Security National Mortgage Company. I opened a case with their PMI department on July 5, 2021 regarding PMI charges that are $13 above the contract amount. Then without explanation, an additional PMI remittance of $285.11 was done on August 20, 2021. I’ve been writing their PMI department every 2 months and I get a generic “we are trying our best to resolve the issue” response. I’ve written their Research Department twice and got no response. In February 22, 2022 I mailed a letter to the Office of the President with USPS tracking and still no response. On March 3, 2022, I called their customer service. After waiting for 30 minutes, the resolutions specialist, Caroline, told me that their PMI department does not talk to anybody on the phone. Nine (9) months later and as of this writing, Security National owes me $359.51 in PMI overcharges. Resolution is no where in sight. This is a bad company. Please help me get this issue resolved. I need them to refund me the overcharged amount.

      Dear Dispute Resolution Team,

      SecurityNational Mortgage Company (“SecurityNational”) places the needs of its customers first. Complaints provide an excellent opportunity to address an individual’s concern(s), as well as identify potential shortcomings, of which SecurityNational may have otherwise been unaware. Complaints are welcomed, encouraged, and appreciated for the value they provide.

      To protect the privacy of customers, and ensure compliance with numerous governmental regulations, SecurityNational may only share an individual’s non-public, private information (including acknowledging whether or not an individual is even a SecurityNational customer) with third parties whom provide services to, or on behalf of, SecurityNational, or when mandated by a government regulator or court order.

      The Better Business Bureau does not provide services to, or on behalf of, SecurityNational, nor is it a government regulator. As such, without a court order, Federal law strictly prohibits SecurityNational from releasing ANY non-public, private information, and is limited to acknowledging receipt of this complaint. SecurityNational does hereby acknowledge receipt of the Better Business Bureau complaint number ********, delivered to SecurityNational on April 18, 2022. 

      SecurityNational affirms that if the complaint contains contact information, or information sufficient for SecurityNational to identify the complainant(s) within SecurityNational’s system, SecurityNational will communicate directly with the complainant(s).
