Placed an order for chicks in February 2023 to be delivered middle of June 2023 and paid when I placed the order. Received an email with an order number. Money was taken out of my bank account on day of order and have not received any info or chicks. Have called, text and emailed and have not received any response.Initial Complaint

We pre paid for chickens with this company to hold until they were laying eggs. We had a scheduled pickup appointment for June 7th as we would be out of town the weekend before this. They sent an email saying it has to be picked up no later than June 3rd on June 2nd. We didn't even see the email and were out of town in any case. That's literally why we made the appointment for the 7th of June. Now they will not answer texts, emails and are ghosting us. We are calling the credit card company to challenge the charge now.Business response

We sent out emails to let customers know their started pullets will be ready for pick up May 20th through June 3rd as stated in the description when the customer added them to their cart. We also sent a link with this email to allow them to schedule their pickup ************* between these dates. The customer scheduled a pickup time May 23rd for June 7th so we know they received the email with the pickup information. We then cancelled their pickup time and noted to the customer that orders must be picked up no later than June 3rd. Our store closed for the season June 3rd so there was no way to extend this pickup date. The customer did have other options on picking up the hens before June 3rd. As stated in our pick up policy, due to the perishable nature of dealing with live animals, all orders not picked up by their scheduled pickup date will not be held longer and will be considered abandoned. We will not issue refunds on abandoned orders.
