Jesse J***** did some repairs in 2023 at the end of the season including 4 valves and the main sprinkler turnoff valve. Upon turning on the system in May 2024 a major leak appeared next to the main turnoff valve. Of the 4 valves in the backyard, two don't turn on at all and a third runs constantly unless the water is turned completely off. I called Jesse the first week of May to explain the issues and that we would be leaving the next week on 19 day vacation to Europe. He assured me he would fix the problems and "watch over our lawn while we were away". The system was inoperable when we left and Jesse did no repairs or watch over the lawn. I was shocked upon getting home on May 31 that nothing had been done and the lawn was brown. Jesse refuses to come finish the job and correct the problems he created.Initial Complaint

Paid $125 for sprinkler winter blow-out. He insisted on being paid well in advance. A date was scheduled for the work. He didnt show up, nor did he show up later in the week as promised. He said he would pay me back in a day or two. Now he wont respond to texts, or phone calls after more than a week.Initial Complaint

On Oct. 25 Jesse from Sunshine Sprinkler came out to put in a new stop and waste valve. He said since I was already into it $1325 I might as well put in a whole new system. My old system was installed in about 1988 so I agreed to let him put one in. On Oct. 26 2022 he sent a bid of $5125 to install the new sprinkler system, including the stop and waste valve.He asked for a deposit of 40% ($2050). On Nov 5 he asked for $750 more to buy supplies which I sent. On Nov 8 he asked for the remaining balance of $2845 even tho he still had 12-15 hrs of work left to do. I said I only owed him $1520 more but he said the stop and waste valve wasn't supposed to be included in the original bid and should have been on a separate invoice. I showed him the original bid that showed everything was included for $5125. He said it was his fault but would I split the difference with him. I didn't want him to leave the job unfinshed so I agreed to pay $2150 upon completion. On Nov. 14 he texted me and said everyting was completed except for 4 heads that he couldn't put in because the ground was too frozen. He said he had me scheduled for March 31, 2023 to finish up and get everything dialed in. I paid him that remaining balance because I thought he was practically done. Now he refuses to come back to finish saying I stole $600 from him. I had to have another company finish the job for $584. They said the sprinkler heads were just buried in the dirt and the drip lines weren't connected. The timer wasn't wired either. He obviously had no intention of coming back.
