Purchased a car from them for 9,000 dollars when talking to him about the warranty he said to get ahold of him on Monday and he would take care of it i tried to call and and no answer I received a text message that the way having issues with the phones. I started having trouble with the vehicle and could not get a call back I took it to the dealership and was told they don't know how the car passed emissions and that that the transmission and clutch needed work I finally was able to talk to them and they say they could not help me and refused to tell me who they used for the emissions.Business response

Dear *****************, We're very sorry to hear that you experienced some issues with the 2015 **** Fiesta purchased from ** in Sept/2022. I took a look into this deal's notes and confirmed that the vehicle was sold "As Is" and you were able to test drive it before finalizing the purchase. Unfortunately, we did not identify any issues with the vehicle prior to the sale otherwise we would have repaired before completing the deal. The warranty packages offered at our dealership are sold by a third party company at an additional charge and are not managed by Vectra Auto Sales. I hope this clarifies your concerns. My husband and I went into Vectra auto sales on August 11 to purchase a car. We test drove a 2013 VW Tiguan and no lights or warnings came on so the car seemed fine. When we got back to the dealership we discussed the car with them and they said there are no issues and the car is in great condition. We purchased the car for just under $11,000 and within minutes of driving off the lot, the engine light and oil pressure warning came on. We weren't even able to drive 10 miles to home without this happening so there is no chance we did anything to damage the car. We took it to a mechanic who ultimately told us that the whole engine needs to be replaced. A used engine with 100,000 miles on it would be $8,000. There is no way that Vectra Auto Sales would have been oblivious to this issue. A problem as major as the whole engine being defective is something that the dealership would be aware of. They lied to us and told us that there were no issues, especially major issues. They committed fraud to try to sell us a car for much more than it is worth. We signed the standard car sales papers, but this should be voided on the grounds of fraud.Business response

After reviewing the notes on this deal, It was confirmed that the ************************** good condition and did not present any issues with the engine. It was also confirmed that you test drove the vehicle and did not report any issues with it afterwards. This vehicle was sold "As Is" (disclaimed on the Buyer's Guide signed by you) and unfortunately, there wasn't anything further we could have done to mitigate your frustration with this unfortunate and unpredictable situation.
