    Booked a massage two days ahead of time for an ACUTE physical need and paid the REQUIRED up front total cost of the service before receiving said service. The cost of the service was placed on a gift card held by the store. I arrived for my appointment and informed the staff that I have allergies to coconut and chamomile, and they searched through the extensive stock of the full service salon but found nothing that I could tolerate, despite having a huge inventory and a restaurant fully associated with the salon, they could find nothing. They insisted that since I did not tell them ahead of time of my allergies—I apologized profusely for that; however, I received massage regularly at various salons and have NEVER encountered any business not having single base oils to work with, nor have a I ever encountered a salon that did not accommodate fully a customer or client—and The Polished Diamond REFUSED to refund me my money. Rather, the staff insisted that (1) I did not inform them ahead of time (2) that I could come on another day despite the provider only being available two days a week on Fridays and Saturdays only (3) that no refunds were their standard policy and that they will not deviate from it under any circumstances (4) that the owner will not speak with me and if she did she would simply tell me the same thing. I see it as the following: It was a wash out, and instead of The Polished Diamond perpetually holding my money so I can receive a service at a later date on their schedule, I feel I should have simply been refunded my money in full at the time. I do not feel comfortable going back to receive services at this juncture. I believe that this business has stolen my money once I was not able for whatever reason to receive services that day. I was expecting a service that day and should not have to be forced into having my money help for me in order for me to have a service at a later date when I may not be able to or want o at a later date. $215 due me
