I purchase a vehicle from driveway motors October 27, 2023 my car was supposed to be picked up by me but the car was somewhere else and it was delivered to my house at 5:45 am October 28, 2024. I noticed when I started that car when I woke up it was smoking. I called the dealer at 9 oclock and told her about it. She made that she had to have a *** specialist mechanic to look at it, now my car two months ago the motor blowed without a car promises of getting me a motor every every week is a runaround. I have a ***** warranty on it.

************ is a valued customer of **********************.  We do not replace vehicles when they have an issue unfortunately.  We do however, help people.  ************* has been able to put over ****** miles on her car since October.  She ran into the issue of the vehicle, her first complaint was that it was using oil, however, in doing the specs on the vehicle it is the amount of oil suggested by the manufacturer. She said it was smoking, it wasn't excessive while it was here, however, she now has a definite problem.  Her vehicle engine is now making noise and our VW / *** tech tells us this is due to low oil in the vehicle.  There is scarring on the pistons from low oil.  I have told ************* that I would still treat this as if it was under warranty which is a 50/50 split on cost of parts and repair.  I have already given her something to drive however, due to circumstances beyond her control, she had an accident and the vehicle isn't drivable at this moment.  She hit a possum/racoon going 65 or 70 on the highway and now the vehicle is no longer drivable until it is repaired.  I normally don't give out loaners, I only did this because I consider her a friend.  I have already purchased this engine with a 7 month warranty, we are waiting to have it picked up tomorrow from NC.  We hired someone to pick it up from NC.  As of now, her vehicle is still driving, however even though it has engine noise.  We should be receiving the engine Thursday or Friday morning from transport.  We have arranged for the engine to be replaced next week or the week after with the VW/*** tech.  We have put all the money out of our pocket upfront and haven't received a dollar from ************* towards these repairs.  Again, normally I would get this money upfront, I have agreed to let her pay her half in installments throughout and over time to help her.  She knows I have paid for the engine, as she has said she would pick it up, however, she doesn't have a truck and we didn't have one, so I hired someone who does have a vehicle to pick it up and it should be here on Thursday or Friday at the latest.  I have tried to help her as much as possible, if she wishes to do this on her own, the repair is approximately $5000.00.  I am only charging her between $1500 and $2000 and letting her put it on time, she can get someone else to do it.  It really is up to her.  I am just trying to help since the vehicle is already out of warranty and engine noise was caused by low oil levels.  I am a small business owner and I do try to help everyone, sometimes, my timeline may not seem fast enough, but if she wants to pay upfront, instead of installments, I am sure, she can get it done elsewhere faster.

      Sincerely,

I purchased a vehicle on April 8,2023 from drive away motors. When i got in my car it was complety dirty. It had a tampon on the back floor bored and stickers were still all over the windows. When I drove it home I noticed it ran **** and it was pulling to the right. It had a knocking or like a rubbing sound when it went around curves. I had to stop and put air in tire because it was loosing air. After I did that I decided to check the fluids just to make sure it was good. The transmission fluid was completely dry, not even a drop on the stick. They told me that their car was checked over with their shop and everything was fine. The next morning less then 24 hrs I told them I wanted to cancel and get a refund. I paid a $1000 down payment, and made a $90 deposit. I told her I was bringing car back that day and parked it on the property. Day after she told me to come to office. When I get there she tells me I can't get my money back that deposits are non-refundable. So I told her ok she can keep the $90 deposit , but would like my $1000 down payment. She refused to give me my $1000 back. I was never told I couldn't get my down payment back. The vehicle I gave back to her she is going to process it as a voluntary gave it to her. So now I have a $1000 gone and no vehicle. This is not right

I was unaware of any mechanical issues with this vehicle.  This young ladies' boyfriend, didn't want her to buy the vehicle.  He was giving and me and hard time.  I don't allow for any intimidation tactics.   Since this was sent to us, she has picked the vehicle up and making her payments and doing well with the vehicle.  Alls ***** that ends well.

      Have a great day!
