I stay in a building that caught fire on December 12, 2021. I luckily made it out of the building in time, even though the fire alarms did not initially go off in the building. I stay on the 1st floor of a 3 floor building and the two units above me were deemed unlivable. I was told my unit was fine and that I could move back in. I have since experienced constant leaks and have been ignored by the property manager, and neglected by all but a few of the main staff members. The property manager, whom I still dont have a name, or number for, despite making clear that I would like to speak with them, has since proven to be an evasive character. One of my walls in my unit has no electricity, multiple outlets randomly stop working, the leaks occur every time that it rains and I have never gotten a permanent fix/clear understanding of the problem. I am a service member with guaranteed, on-time to rental payments and I expect for my issues to be addressed or at the very least communicated with me as outlined in the tenants rights legislation. The roof above my unit has been exposed since the fire and my apartments ceiling has been open to the elements ever since. I was not even aware that there was nothing covering the roof of the building until an electrician informed me.The maintenance staff is considerably helpful, but they only do what they are required to do, according to their management. My job is mission essential and quite literally very important to the safety and welfare of the entire nation. Me missing work constantly, being without electricity intermittently, having a front door which will not open, and not having an explanation or anything to tell my unit is nothing short of unacceptable, especially since this is government money.I would like for my issues to be remedied or at the very least to receive adequate communication from the property management team.If the unit is not adequate as expected by law, they should move me free.Business response

Unfortunately, there was a fire in December that caused significant damage to the roof. We responded as quickly as possible and addressed concerns as they were brought to our attention. **************** apartment was not immediately affected by the fire, however there was residual damage during inclement weather as we worked on repairing the roof. When ************ brought to our attention there was water entering his apartment from the roof damage, we had water extraction and remediation as well as an electrician to his home the same day. The electrician cleared his apartment which only left drywall repairs to be completed. The drywall repair was completed 3/22 and per our last conversation with ************ on 4/18 there are no pending action items to address.
