On January 16, 2022 My Husband and I purchased a 2013 ********* ******** *** from Beyer Subaru Beyer Subaru Alexandria Located at 7416 Richmond HWY?Alexandria, VA 22306 On Saturday December 30, 2022 the transmission in the only vehicle that we own and still owe $17,849.00 on went completely out! So, we need our used car to be capable of transforming our everyday commutes into something a little more extraordinary, as indicated on your website. The Truck Towed from our home to Beyer Subaru to see what can be done to the vehicle. Monday January 2, 2023 my husband and I had to use my mother’s vehicle to drive to the dealership. My husband contacted the dealer to inform them that we can not move nor drive the truck we purchased 1/16/22 (keep in mind that today is only January 7, 2023). We explained that this is the only car that we have! My husband works in Jessup, MD and I work in Washington, DC. and we live in Indian Head, MD so clearly you can see we are commuters and need reliable transportation. We were told that efforts would be made to locate a used transmission and we would be contacted that Tuesday. Tuesday came and went and NO ONE reached out to us which is totally unprofessional and unacceptable. Yet, we still had to get to work. Wednesday January 4,2023 arrived and the dealership informed us that they were unsuccessful in locating us a used Transmission. Gus who helped us with the Truck in January 2022 explained to us on that Monday that he would look for a used Transmission for us and once he found one the Dealership would put it in and help us with the cost. Today is Saturday January 7,2023 and this past week we’ve had to catch ****, ****, *****, and get a ride from Family members just to get back and forth to work. All of that has cost us additional money that we cannot afford or get back.Business response

The customer was well aware that they purchased an AS-IS vehicle and proceeded to put over 50000 miles on their vehicle in one year. Prior to sale their vehicle passed state inspections for both Virginia and Maryland, so it was sold in good working order. With AS-IS vehicles there is no liability nor responsibility to the selling retailer. We offered to find a replacement transmission or trade in their vehicle, neither of which they wanted to pay for.
