I would not recommend this hospital at all. We took our cat to this place because she was drooling and barely eating. Her mouth seemed darker than usual. Vet saw her and said she had an ulcer and said our cat would be fine with a shot. No medications were given. The vet told us to come back in a week. After two days we went in again to the emergency care because it seemed like our cat was still in pain and we wanted medication to help her. Another vet saw her and said she had cancer under the tongue and recommended we put her down right away. Again, they gave her a shot for the pain. They claimed it lasts for 3 days but after doing some research it only last 24 hours. We went to a different hospital to get a second opinion and received antibiotics to help with her pain. As of now, she is doing much better. She’s even eating now and behaving normally. I am so disappointed with this hospital for having vets that literally guess a diagnostic. We spend almost thousand dollars to walk out with two different diagnostics and no pain medications. They denied to give us any medication or antibiotics which she got right away somewhere else. They didn’t want to give her any medication for the pain because the vet said to put her down. We almost put our cat down because of this place. The manager did not want to help us. They just took our money

There was a significant lack of communication among some of the doctors & staff, leading to contradictions about my dog's condition. This inconsistency left me feeling uncertain & worried about the quality of care she was receiving. What troubled me even more was the sudden push for euthanasia. I had questions about my dog's care and was met with resistance when I asked for the feeding tube to be flushed or replaced, which could have given her a fighting chance. Instead, the doctor seemed more interested in pushing for euthanasia. In the end, the doctor's failure to listen to our request to save our dog, even through a relatively simple procedure like replacing a blocked feeding tube, was disheartening. Furthermore, attempts to discuss the quality of treatment, care, & the charges on our bill with the practice manager went unanswered. Requests for open communication to get answers about my dog's care & the bill were consistently ignored. Despite our repeated requests, the practice manager never fulfilled our request to speak via phone, leaving us in the dark about important details. In cases where a pet's life hangs in the balance, how a practice handles the situation becomes paramount. Having unresolved questions about my pet's care during such a critical time made it incredibly challenging for me to properly grieve & find closure. Additionally, the ability to openly communicate with the practice manager to resolve issues or seek clarification on billing matters is of paramount importance. Unfortunately, my attempts to engage in this crucial dialogue were consistently met with silence, leaving me with unanswered questions and a sense of frustration. The lack of effective communication, concerns regarding care decisions, the push for euthanasia without thorough consideration of alternatives & unresponsiveness of the practice manager have left a lasting impression that I believe others should be aware of when considering where to seek care for their beloved pets.

Dr.? Samantha C****, Columbia Pike Emergency Animal Hospital In early July we took our pet cat to the Clinic, due to her excessive vomiting. She was seen by you and diagnosed with fluid around her lungs, and you prescribed heart medication and requested a follow up visit in two weeks. We were unable to get an appointment within the two weeks period and, due to the serious nature of our pet’s condition, we struggled with the effort to get an earlier appointment, as you had recommended. That visit costs us $973.00 Dr.? C****, you were contacted at least five (5) times in an effort to determine what action we should take regarding our ill cat. Two messages were left on your personal number, and two messages were given to your staff, to pass on to you. We also emailed you directly! None of those appeals were heeded by you!! In the meantime our pet continued to suffer. Dr.? C****, it is certainly beyond my comprehension how you; one who has sworn the hypocritic (sic) oath, could be so callous, insensitive and downright lacking in professional ethics. To date you have never replied to our calls, messages or email!! Not even the common courtesy and decency of having one of your assistants reach out to us. How contemptuous!!! You, (Dr.?) Samantha C****, are obviously in the wrong business and should be avoided like the plague!! Your highhanded attitude, poor to non-existent medical ethics and total lack of compassion; makes you the absolute WORST!!! P.S. As it turns out, my pet does NOT have a heart condition. Thank you for your misdiagnosis!!!
