We ordered custom kitchen cabinets from Cabinet Era about 7 weeks ago. My wife and I met a salesman named **** and we specifically said that we were only interested in solid wood cabinets and not any cabinets that contained manufactured wood or particleboard. **** showed us three different lines of cabinets that met our specifications, and we decided on the ********, shaker-style cabinets. About 7 weeks later we took delivery of the cabinets and set up installation with a local carpenter. While the carpenter was installing our cabinets he had to make a cut on the front of one of the cabinets that would fit the farm-style sink we purchased. The carpenter asked me to come into the kitchen and view the material that was under the paint and veneer of the cabinet. It was a compressed pulp-wood material that he said was not hard-wood or ply-wood. Upon further inspection, we learned that much of the cabinet material was this manufactured wood pulp product, exactly the opposite of what we paid for. I immediately contacted Cabinet Era on or about April 20, 2022, and was told that I would receive a call back before close of business, though nobody called me back. On April 21, 2022, I called again and **** answered the phone. I explained the situation with the cabinet material and **** stated "I need to speak to the manufacturer and I need to inform my manager" **** called me back on April 21, 2022, and stated "I spoke to my manager and he wanted me to let you know that you had a two-year warranty if something went wrong" I told him that the cabinets were not acceptable and he again repeated that we "Have a 2-year warranty if there were any issues" I again stated that was not acceptable to which he repeated the warranty information.
