Good evening, I discontinued service with the Now on April 2, 2022. However, the representative mislead me and my daughter about cancellation process. I explained, I was about to have surgery and would not be able to continue service. They assume me and daughter Membership Was canceled. My daughter has been caring do me through my recovery. Since I have an online statement, the charges went unnoticed. I called them, and they told me to contact my bank and file a dispute. I have contacted my bank, but The Now is not willing to return my money goods and services, so I am hoping you can help before I reach out consumer protection agency and the Virginia District Attorney's office.Business response

Guest signed a membership agreement with The Now and according to the terms of the agreement has to provide 30 days written notice of cancellation of membership. Guest never provided us with any notification oral or written until August 2022. According to the complaint, she assumed her daughter took care of the cancellation in April 2022, but that's not true. According to the complaint, she didn't look at her online back statement at all until August of 2022 when she realized she was still being charged for her membership. She then notified us of her intent to cancel and we complied. She then demanded a refund for 5 months (April - August 2022) even though her daughter used the membership. We declined. She filed a dispute with her bank and lost.
