We have gotten a puppy on December 2nd 2023 from Pauleys Pups. It has now come to our attention that Pauleys Pups acquired her from a puppy mill called Preferred Canines run by a breeder named ****************************. Within a day or two our veterinarian diagnosed her with kennel cough. She supposedly was vaccinated against it though we were told. When we were looking at dogs there at the shop, i mentioned how I once had a dog that was unknowingly from a puppy mill and that we had to put her down because she was unable to form attachments, aggressive, and would attack us and that we did not want to go through that again. We raised questions on how do we know if we get a dog from them, that it is not from a puppy mill. I was told the owner goes down to meet the breeder regularly to do investigations to make sure the puppies are not in puppy mill conditions. Since we have gotten this puppy, she makes no eye contact, is always biting, and the only time she is not aggressive is when she is asleep. After interacting with this puppy, it has become evident something is very wrong with her. Therefore, we did more research on Pauleys Pups and Preferred Canines in ******, ****. We plan to file a lawsuit with ********************* from Pauleys Pets and **************************** from Preferred Canines. We have found have been past lawsuits and or complaints **************************** and the abuse of the puppies being bred there. This is very inhumane!!!!! How can a human being do this **************!!!

      Business response

      01/04/2024

We take every incident serious at Pauley's Pups. We were contacted on the 13th by ****************. We refunded her $3,000 that she requested, and an additional $2,000 for her to go buy a puppy somewhere else since she was so dissatisfied with us. Then she requested for us to give another $1,000 for her to donate to the **** in her name, and she said that if I would do that my name would never be mentioned again. She put all of this in writing. We also contacted animal control to take a look at the puppy and they stated there appeared to be nothing wrong with the puppy. We pulled up the **** report on these breeders and they are spotless. We did settle with *****************
