Good Afternoon, I signed up with Golds Gym originally in 2019 when it was located in Alexandria on *************************. I was paying a one-time monthly fee per my contract. In late 2020, the location closed and my membership was transferred to Baileys crossing. When my membership was transferred it was switched from a monthly payment to a bi-weekly payment. On the 26th of March, I was charged 40 something which I thought was my regular payment, but then on the 1st I was charged another $40. My original contract had 40 something per month, so I was outraged that I was being charged double. On April 4th, I canceled my membership, because they augmented my original contract and immediately went to sign up at another gym. However, Golds Gym is saying that I owe them money because I did not give a 30-day notification. Ironically, according to my original contract, Golds cannot change my contract per line 10. I actually had been a loyal member for close to two years, and they should have refunded me. Now, I cant even log into *************.com because they use the same platform as Planet Fitness. It has just been a terrible experience since I left, because, they unjustly, say I owe them money.Customer response

Hello,
I attached my initial email about my membership, and what I was being charged monthly to the last payment that made me cancel my membership that was bi weekly. I am unable to download the contract, because their system is all messed up and it takes me to some planet fitness website. I do know that per line 10 of my original contract that no employee can change my contract. I went from monthly to bi-weekly and did not sign off on the change. Their augment supersedes my supposed "requirement" to give a 30 day notice. Especially, when it doubled.
