      I have been a patient at Affordable Dentures in *******, ** since 2014 when I purchased my first set of full dentures. In 2020, my lower plate split in half and could not be repaired. I decided to purchase a new set of their Ultimate upper and lower dentures (costing $2198.00). In May of 2021, one of the teeth on the upper plate broke off. I took it to Affordable Dentures who replaced it under warranty. The same tooth broke off again in September 2021. I made the trip again to Affordable Dentures and they replaced it under warranty. On September 25, 2023, I had a tooth break for the third time on my upper plate. I took it to Affordable Dentures for repair and was told by one of their technicians that they were: (a) no longer under warranty, (b) they were not Ultimate dentures, and (c) I would have to pay for repair. This rude technician even accused me of having someone else's dentures! I showed her my driver's license and informed her that these were purchased in 2020 and still under warranty. She denied that they were 2020 Ultimate dentures and accused me of bringing in dentures from 2014. How could this be? The 2014 set was beyond repair in 2020, which forced me to buy a whole new set! Frustrated, I left the premises. After paying this kind of money for their best dentures with a 7 year warranty, then have to put up with an accusatory and rude acting technician is beyond ridiculous. I've learned my lesson from this establishment.

      The patient showed up with an obviously old set of dentures. Unfortunately the dentures that she is trying to repair is not her newest set of dentures. The Lab manager and I both looked at the dentures, they are not her Ultimate set.Sincerely,** ******** *********** ***

      I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. Affordable Dentures should have record that the 2014 dentures were split and not repairable and I had to purchase a new set.  The set I purchased in 2020 is the one they provided me and represented it as their Ultimate dentures.  These same dentures have been returned to their facility twice since 2020 for tooth replacement under warranty with no problems.  Now they say it's not their Ultimate dentures.  I beginning to think I didn't get what I paid for in 2020.  Bait and switch?       Went to Affordable Dentures, Dr. Alston-Sakos office to initially do a bottom plate. She examined my teeth, said I had gum disease, which was under control by the way. Was told couldn't do a partial, all teeth had come out to do a lower denture. Pulled 8 teeth, made impression, one side was sitting on top of my gums. My dentures didn't fit comfortably, traveled back and forth so many times to make adjustments, I lost count, an hour away, even after getting final dentures, I told her I wasn't happy with them, kept telling me bottoms are the hardest to get to fit, keep making adjustments, my complaints fell on deaf ears, even saw one lady roll her eyes. They wanted to make them into implants because they wouldn't stay in place no matter what I did, decided no to that, not with that lower. I just gave up, couldn't afford anything else, quit going back. It's been almost a year, June 2022, since I got the final dentures, I returned so many times in next 3 months for adjustments after that, with no satisfaction. They wanted to start charging for adjustment visits after that, I even told them I hated my dentures but never offered to remake them. Couldn't eat ANYTHING with them in then, can't now either. I'm so embarrassed when I eat because I have to remove my teeth, hide them in my napkin, hoping nobody saw me, at home and in public. I can't eat the foods I love, like granola, apples, nuts, anything hard, even lettuce is a challenge. I paid $959 for teeth that make me miserable and can't use. I would like full refund if at all possible, including what insurance paid.
