Beware of Deceptive Practices and ********************** WHERE IS THE OWNER??Review:I had a deeply frustrating experience with Environmental Pest Control in ********** **. I believe others should be aware of before considering their services. Heres a summary of my issues:Contract Requirement: I was required to sign a contract just to schedule an appointment, which is highly unusual and a red flag. This practice made me uncomfortable from the start.Inconsistent Pricing: I was quoted one price over the phone, but when I received the written quote, it was significantly different. This discrepancy suggests a lack of transparency in their pricing. After bringing concerns to the customer support via email and on the phone, a new contract was generated and it still was not correct. I asked to speak to the owner of the company and was told by the "billing manager" I will not be talking to the owner. He would not let me speak to the owner at all.Difficult Cancellation Process: When I tried to cancel my appointment due to their inability to assist with my issue, the cancellation process was nearly impossible. They made it extremely difficult to cancel without facing significant hurdles.Billing Issues: Despite canceling services, they refused to correct the billing errors and claimed they had no record of my cancellation. They demanded payment for services I never received, and when I asked to speak to the owner, I was repeatedly denied and told that no one would sign off on written correspondence.Threats and Legal Issues: They threatened me with collection notices and have since reported the issue to my credit. I had to get a lawyer.Overall, my experience with this deceptive scammy company has been marked by deceptive practices, poor customer service, and unprofessional behavior. I do not understand how they continue to operate under these conditions. I strongly advise potential customers to not use this company at all.Environmental Pest Control Response

******, I am sorry to hear your experience with our company was not a positive one.A couple things I would like to note out front.1) You have paid us $0 for multiple services at your home. The card you provided us was not a good card and was declined.2) You told my employee to "F@#k Off" and called him a "F@% F@#k". This is tantamount to hate speech - we do have a recording of it and If you don't stop slandering and bad-mouthing our company I will take you to court.3) Yes, customers that do not pay us for agreements we have clearly fulfilled are at times sent to collections after 90 days of emails, calls, and texts attempting to work with them and get any issues they may have resolved.4) As an owner of this company, if someone respectfully wants to communicate with me I will make time for them. I have been behind the scenes assisting in this situation. I am aware of your concerns with the service provided (You claimed we misdiagnosed the issue and that it wasn't mice, but a Raccoon. We came out for an additional inspection, but found no proof of Raccoons). I have heard and seen how you have acted and treated my employees and I have no desire to speak with you on the phone.We worked very hard to take care of our customers. I am unaware of us ever requiring any one to sign an agreement prior to receiving an inspection. We offer free Inspections and do not require anyone to sign an agreement prior to us coming out to inspect the home and provide a free quote. As for pricing we do have a base price where pricing typically starts at, but at times we may get out to a home and find that there is more that is required or needed. We are a reputable company - you have paid us nothing for the work we have performed. What exactly did you need a lawyer for?? You didn't pay us anything.Review from Harry L

Contracted Enviromental Pest Control of ********** to address ********* bee issues this spring. Since the bees are boring into wood at the roof line, our two story house would need a ladder to access most of the affected areas. Discussed that with the sales rep, and have it in writing in their proposal.A tech arrived with no ladder, said he called the office about this and would be back. Now, 4 months later, have been told the team at ************ determined the work was done and no refund is due. So $300 spent, nothing received but a runaround. We will be providing a full refund along with an option to have the service performed at 50% of the original cost if you choose to move forward with the service. The company is extremely tardy, very difficult to get anything scheduled and they charge $79/vent guard but don't have the correct size available and use a wire mesh to cover the vent instead. Waste of money and less than satisfactory service.Environmental Pest Control Response

*****, sorry to hear you were dissatisfied with the service provided. We don't just charge that amount for bird guards that also includes checking the vent and disinfecting as needed. We typically provided multiple hour time slots to ensure we arrive at your home in within the window, there are times when traffic or jobs may cause us to run behind, but we do our very best to keep the customer updated in these situations. We also will have the tech send a text notification when he is headed to your home - we will investigate your account to ensure these things took place and correct any issues with the technician who took care of the job. I signed a year long contract for a rodent problem in my home, I was promised this would be taken care of by the inspector. I was never fully educated on my role in keeping things out of reach that they might eat. every tech they sent, taught me something new along the way, that should have been explained at the first visit. after several months and the problem was not taken care of I was given the head tech to do all my visits. I was not until they pulled out the big guns, liquid bait, 11 months in, that I saw an improvement. Each person that came could not seem to explain or understand why I still had a problem. I did not renew my contract, even thought I still saw evidence. I am now in search of a new pest company. Several times I asked for manager in charge, and to be reimbursed when the mice chewed thought my oven cord, costing me $900. If they had just checked behind the over this would not have happened. I could not be more disappointed in a company. I am sickened that I still have a rodent problem.Environmental Pest Control Response

Cherie, Vast majority of customers do not have a rodent infestation to the level that you were having. Typically the initial steps that we took would be more than sufficient in wiping out a rodent problem like this. We do not always know the extent of the issue until we begin working to solve it. I'm sorry to hear about the extent of the problem that you have had to deal with. We are a pest control company and we are not typically pulling out peoples ovens or moving their appliances. There is also no guarantee had we moved your appliances that this still might not have happen anyway. That being said I'm sorry it been a rough experience. We work very hard to help please solve their pest problems and our dedication to continue to show up time and time again for free warranties at your home I believe speaks to that.Review from Dyung L

We hired Environmental Pest Control to spray a rental property for cockroaches back in January 2024. The contract was for 10 spraying sessions, one month apart. They came and did the work inside the house for the first spray. On the next scheduled spray date, they never showed up. We called and the technician said he did show up and spray already. We asked how can you do the spraying when we know that you could not get inside the house? The technician can't answer this. (We have the audio recording of the conversation). They rescheduled the spray a week later. Again no show. We are tired of the way they do business so we notify them that we are cancelling the contract. They point out that if we cancel, we have to pay a $350 cancellation fee. We said we should not have to pay because they did not provide the service, so they broke the contract themselves. They said they did come and spray the outside of the house. What good does that do for cockroaches? They insist that we have to pay and submitted the charge to our credit card company. If you have cockroaches, I suggest you use a roach killer product from HomeDepot. Under no circumstance would I trust a company that has such a misleading way of dealing with its customer, and when caught, resort to what effectively is a blackmail.Environmental Pest Control Response

Hi Dyung, I'm sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with our service. As you were unavailable for interior treatment during your confirmed monthly visit, we performed a barrier treatment and scheduled a free warranty visit with you for the interior treatment. We also sent appointment notifications to your email and phone regarding the timing of both of these visits. When the technician came to the home for this free visit, you were unavailable again at your confirmed time window. The technician, due to having other service stops, was unable to wait for you to return. We tried to reschedule another visit to resolve your interior issue, but you declined to do so and chose to cancel service instead. Our cancellation fee is clearly stated in the agreement and so it was assessed. We certainly prefer to help our customers resolve their issues and are always willing and ready to do so, offering to return as often as needed until the problem is resolved. We always make it clear, through our agreement and through free warranties, that we are ready to go above and beyond to assist the customer with their problems. We are unable to do so if the customer refuses service or is not present at the agreed upon time. All the best.Review from Leigh N
