I brought my vehicle to collision repair to repair damages to the rear bumper of my vehicle due to an individual hitting my car in a parking lot. I was initially very pleased with the repair & service, as the staff was friendly and organized, and the bumper looked as if it was never damaged in the first place. Unfortunately, that was until the following day when I noticed an array of scratches on the inside of my passenger side window. I know, for a fact, that the scratches were not present when I dropped off the vehicle. Nevertheless, I reported the damages via a phone call to Collision Plus, and they asked me to bring the vehicle back in. Upon bringing it back in, I had to wait over 30 minutes to speak with someone who accused my 13 lb dog of being the source of the scratches. There are quite a few inconsistencies with that theory. Firstly, whenever my dog rides in the vehicle, she wears a harness attached to a very short seatbelt (see attached) and, as a result, can barely reach the window sill, much less apply pressure a few inches above the window sill. Secondly, she spends most of her time in the back seats, and neither rear window has a single scratch. And lastly, my car has many imperfections, even ones very close to the repair site; there is no logical reason I would randomly choose scratches on the passenger side window as a goal for a fraudulent free repair. What I suspect happened is related to the tickets I saw stuck on every vehicle's side window that was getting serviced. I believe the removal of said ticket caused damage that they are now blaming on my dog without any evidence. There was even sticker residue on the window itself, which was not present on any other window.
