I received an email from ****** about the Furminator de-shedding shampoo that has been recalled. I also got an email from the company. I went on the website and registered. It asked me for information about the product and to make sure I put it in the trash to get a refund. I did all of the following, and I checked their site a couple of days later. Their registration website said my item was not affected, but I had already thrown it away because it was within the range of items infected and was a requirement. I am out of the money I spent on the product and the product itself because this company could not correctly set up a recall. I lost money because I didn't want to risk my or my dog's health. They should have asked the buyer to hold onto the item until they confirmed it was affected and not to make the buyer give evidence of throwing away the item to receive a refund. Now I have to go out of my way to get a refund because I can't put a claim on ******.

I bought a 5 gallon aquarium from this company, The filter that came with it was sucking up and killing my little neons. When I contacted them about this, they said oh, your water was wrong, your fish were stressed. Every excuse in the book except to say ya, that filter is a bit strong for smaller fish. Talked to an associate at our local ******* who said she had the same problem, she said she had taken a sponge, cut it to the opening size and inserted it into the filter intake, no more problems. Just wish companies would be honest and quit avoiding the problem at hand

Hello Debi, we understand how sad and frustration it can be to loss fish. We are aquarium hobbyists ourselves and by no means do we want our products to harm someone's fish. Our filters go to rigorous testing and development to ensure they are labeled, sized and advertised appropriately for the intended fish of the aquarium. Unfortunately, fish that are sick and/or weak may become struck to the filter due to their condition. Is it also possible the fish had passed prior to being pulled against the filter. What I can ensure you is that the filter is not too powerful, even for the smallest of healthy fish.
