On 3/12/22 I rented a track lift and skid steer from LDL rentals which included brush grapple attachment and trailer for hauling. Total cost $5,765.60. On the first day at my job, I could not use the equipment. It was faulty when he rented to me. The lift kept throwing a fault code of a bad sensor & getting stuck. I called ****** to let him know, and his end result was..I was incapable of running his equipment. Side note, (I've previously rented from him) So I preceded to call the company of the lift to try to fix it; as I already knew, they stated that a new sensor was needed. At 6am I was stuck approximately 40 ft in the air because of this and had to repel down. The skid steer could not be used because the tracks kept slipping off due to bad sprockets. I again reach out to ****** to see what we could do to fix this. His response was again very condescending and irate and offered NO resolution. His end result was..and I quote.."Bring my F'n equipment back!" He offered NO money back and would not provide another machine. I had to RE-rent equipment from Extreme Rentals costing $4,000.00. My employees had to still be paid, which was approximately $5,000. This does not include travel expenses nor my time from my job that was lost. My expected completion date was pushed back by *****!..causing more loss. All in all, I incurred close to a $20,000.00 loss due to LDL's equipment being faulty/broken and have absolutely no resolution. Every conversation had with ****** was intolerable. He's irate, rude and truly has no respect for his customers. I'm leaving this complaint for two reasons, one, in hope of resolution, and 2 to warn others before they spend their hard earned money...only to lose money. Absolutely terrible business ethic and practices.
