    This started when Hamilton Insurance Agency gave me a policy through ****. On 09/05/2023. I changed my insurance from ***** to **** for a rate of 143 dollars. Once this change was finalized I cancelled my ***** insurance on 09/06/2023. Days latter my wife receives a letter from our local DMV telling us her license is suspended because of a lack of coverage and we are required to get an SR22 certificate of insurance from ***** in order to get her license reinstated on top of a 145 dollar reinstatement fee. Not only did I call **** several times but I also went into their local branch only to be told that they will indeed underwrite the policy and send an SR22 to the DMV. They never once asked me if I needed one prior to signing up from the policy. They advised it could take 3 days which is detrimental to my life. As my wife is a mail carrier who cannot work without a valid license. As I was waiting on **** to fix the problem they created they call to inform me they may not be able to send an SR22 to the DMV and that they also dont blame me if I shop for another company. Well guess what I cant shop for another company because they wont insure someone with a dead license. So **** has me deadlocked into a position I can do nothing about while my livlihood is at risk along with numereous fees. I called at least 25 times between 09/13 and 09/14 begging for help I exercised as much patience as possible with finally when I explained how upset I was getting all the manager *** had to say was bottom line we are not insuring you or sending anything to the DMV find someone else. So after not causing me financial hardship they refused to own up to the situation and help me. It is not my responsibility as a consumer to inform your sales agent of what the DMV may or may not need this agency has no ethics nor care for the consumer and severely lacks on ownership and empathy. Now I have had to take a whole new insurance policy out with another company almost doubling my rates.
