Yes i purchased a car from Clarys used auto sales on February 28th or 29th 2024 i asked questions about the check engine light before purchasing the vehicle i was told that it just needed to be reset i said okay proceeded to purchase the vehicle didnt go to the mechanic right away because they were closed by the time i got to them. The next day i take my car to the mechanic for them to reset the sensor when i was informed that I need a timing chain. So i called clarys and tried to inform them of what i was told but nobody was available to talk to me for about a week in a half. When i finally talked to a mechanic she proceeds to tell me that he will not pay nobody a couple of hundreds dollars to fix the timing chain on a car i just purchased for $2,000. To Whom It May ********************* ************ purchased a 2008 Cadillac CTS from Clary's Used Cars, LLC on February 28, 2024. ************** drove the vehicle before purchase and was aware of the check engine light. ************ signed a Buyers Guide and a Bill of Sale stating that she was aware she was purchasing the vehicle AS IS. There will be no repairs made or refunds given. Thank You.... ***********************

I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
It is against the lemon law to sell a vehicle with the check engine light on that needs major repair within the first 30 days. I asked repeatedly what was wrong with the car i was told that the sensor needed to be reset so of course i would buy the car if its only a sensor issue who wouldnt!!! Its a shame that Im getting scammed out of my hard earned money. I have a witness that was present when i kept asking about the check engine light. And i was told that the car was just repoed from a young lady that only made one payment. Like that was my business. All Im asking for is for a exchange or the car fixed i have little children and I have to be able to get around town for appointments and work!
